I'm interested in what they do. I really don't like the ST and unless JJ blows ep9 outta the park I'll ignore them. I really have no interest in Rian Johnsons, cough.. trio, or any other announced titles, unless Boba fett has some good material.

I've never seen "Game of Thrones", but I read some about it...which made me want to avoid it even more. All these films being done so close together seems very foolish to me; it risks giving the audience too much at once. From the interviews he gave over the years, it seems that was one thing Lucas purposely wanted to avoid. Yes, there were books and video games...but the movies were special because they weren't made every year. We got six of them in a span of 28 years, with a 16-year break in the middle. I liked "The Force Awakens", but "Rogue One" was mostly pointless...and "The Last Jedi" was disappointing too. "Solo" looks interesting, but I still think they cast the wrong guy for Han.

I don't think we need to have a Star Wars movie every year, but having the show writers of Game of Thrones take on Star Wars sounds awesome. I'm ready for some Star Wars films with more intricate plots and characterizations, and a more mature tone. I would love to see them adapt the Knights of the Old Republic stuff.

By the way, besides Game of Thrones and Star Wars, I also love Dune, and I just found this video and thought it'd be interesting to share.

They used to call that "oversaturating the brand".

It's the main concern people like myself have with Disney controlling Fox, Disney Animation, Marvel, LucasFilms and Pixar. Means we're going to get very calculated offerings for a long time to come.

Well for me, one Star Wars movie a year is just fine. It retains the excitement, grandness and event vibe of the whole thing.

The route Disney is taking the franchise loses that completely and it becomes another throwaway sci-fi series that is doomed to (probably) eventually tank.

I always thought the same of the A L I E N franchise, how could such an epic franchise under the helm of Riddles go wrong? Well we all know how that went.

Nothing is infallible, on your head be it Disney.

Star Wars is the new Saw franchise, but with a 200 million dollar budget for each movie.

They better be doing KOTOR movies. I think they'd knock it out of the park. D&D and KOTOR? Hell yes.

Probably due to the disgusting racism.

I agree. Thing is, I'm neither a Disney or SW devotee. But even after TLJ
[Show spoiler]which royally pi55ed me off on many unspeakable levels
I'm still buzzing for future SW films. I'm genuinely wondering when I'll feel, "Okay, this is too much. Tone it down." I suppose a successive number of films that balls up the storytelling and character basics will edge me closer to the exit, when I'll eventually realise the cause of the malaise is originating from the top and will therefore taint everything they release, and no manner of wonderful surface adornments can mask the fundamental underlying deficiencies. It'll be a somewhat sad day when that realisation hits home.

Still excited for new Star Wars films despite not loving or even in some cases liking all that Disney have released so far.

I guess they have me right where they want me.

I didn't buy any of the Visual Dictionary or Incredible Cross Sections books for TLJ though, unlike TFA and RO. A man has his limits.

George Lucas created a wonderful sandbox. I’m immensely enjoying seeing others get to play in it and can’t wait for more.

So, also multiple live action TV series huh. They should rename Lucasfilm Ltd to StarWars Ltd because they’re really just a factory now, a Star Wars show moving out the conveyor belt for the consumers. non-stop.

That's the way it's been with trashy superhero movies for years. That was and is worse imho.

But making a quality Star Wars movie every year seems like a good idea.

Bottom line: if you don't like it, don't go see it.

the more star wars the better as far as I'm concerned.

maybe we'll get something just as iconic as the jedi or sith in one of these new trilogies.
