4 isn't as good as the first 3, but certainly not as bad as the abortion that was 5.

To think that the unrated cut of 5 somehow made the film even worse then it already was.

More Jai Courtney and no Mary Elizabeth Winstead. What the hell Fox?!

There's nothing wrong with the other three sequels. Well four is a PG-13 for some stupid reason but it's still fine.
They need 4 to get an unrated release in 4K, just so we can get a full yippee ki yay in every movie. I had to buy the digital version on iTunes because I learned that the copy in the 4-film Blu-Ray collection had Live Free in PG-13, and that blows.

Great to see Fox releasing this - I was starting to get really worried about their commitment to UHD BD catalog titles.

This release was about as close to a no brainier (30th anniversary!) as I could think of. Die Hard was at the top of my list for potential catalog releases.

Very happy. Easy day one.

I'll take 1 & 2. 3 was an discarded Lethal Weapon script and completely blew up what made Die Hard 1 & 2 so special, using one location. All of a sudden, Die Hard wasn't Die Hard anymore, it was a generic buddy cop film that wasn't even as good as the actual Lethal Weapon sequels. At least 4 had better "buddy" camaraderie even though the template was well blown up at that point.

I guess they wanna get it out there before the Disney takeover shuts down catalogue releases permanently.

30th anniversary, so no surprise. Now here's hoping Fox also gives us Big and WB gives us Beetlejuice.

Well, I think part 3 was Die Hard. Perhaps you can argue they never should have bothered, but they did and it wasn't so bad that they broadened up the canvas. I mean, how many single locations can you have that are actually captivating before it becomes a "ticking checkboxes" kinda thing?

The chemistry between Willis and Jackson was very good, very genuine.

I'll only get the first one and With A Vengeance, but I wouldn't be against buying a box set if they just release that like Sony.

This is probably my most wished for catalogue title after SW. Watched the BD over the holidays and this has potential to look great. HDR could really open things up. I'll be fine with any lossless audio.

I believe 3 was actually it’s own script, entitled ‘Simon Says’, before it was reworked to ‘With a Vengeance’. Say what you will about it, but the chemistry between Willis and Jackson is insane - and Bruce is still giving it 100% as McClane, unlike in 4 and 5. 2 gets on my nerves, but that’s a different story.
