Has this been undergoing some reshoots? Some of the scenes appear to be drastically different to what was in the original trailer from last decade.

Visually this really resembles the other Reynolds movie, RIPD. The city looks the same (is it shot in the same city?), he can't die and gets hit by a car sending him flying. There are buildings getting destroyed by some magic kind of energy, there's a car chase through the city whilst this is going on, Reynolds walks around in normal speed whilst everything around him is in slow mo/ freeze frame, such as fireballs and bullets being fired out of guns, a female smartass character has to explain the rules of the universe to him...

This looks more fun than stuff like F9 and Space Jam: A New Legacy. Glad they never decided to put this one straight to streaming. It completely feels like a theatrical experience.

The good thing about Free Guy from what I understand is that it's real people in a virtual reality world (like Ready Player One and maybe Gamer), and not magically some video game characters becoming self aware and realizing they're in a video game and then changing things up, sort of like in Wreck it Ralph, which works as an animated CGI film, but I wouldn't want to see a live action version of it, as I'm sure Disney will attempt in the future.

I'm a life long video gamer, but this film isn't something I'll see in theaters, but might check out on TV if it's on. The trailers for some reason aren't drawing me in to see the film in theaters. Reynold's seeming to play the same smart @ss character in most of his films is also part of it.

Maybe it'll be a good movie, but not one I'll rush to see.

The concept of being good in a GTA type game is mildly interesting.

Like I said a year and a half ago, this looks like a better Ready Player One movie than the actual one.
