Sorry pal, I actually find the Atmos crowd utterly annoying and you're a perfect example. I always wonder how they cope without bottom speakers? The immersion!

My point being: You want Atmos. You stated so several times by now. That's fine. I got it. This disc most likely isn't for you then. Move on (to the Atmos BD thread). But I don't care and I'd pick a 4K HDR disc without Atmos over a Atmos Blu-ray or streaming any day.

I’m not an ‘Atmos crowd’ I’m someone who loves this movie and wants to see and experience it as intended. This is a 4K thread go to the blu ray thread if your set up is insuperior. I made a very valid point about the 4K not having Atmos listed (as of now) and you started trolling because of some experience you’ve had on some other thread.

Anyway guys looking forward to this release, hoping the subtitles are intact and Atmos included

Let's just hope the release will be good, has HDR and English subs. I wouldn't get my hopes up reg. the Atmos though.

Even if you dont care about ATMOS then you won’t mind if the disc were to feature it. You would still get the core 7.1 / 5.1 mix. It wouldn’t be a negative.

I know people dont have a lot of extra money to upgrade to Atmos I know I spent a lot and there are some great Atmos mixes out there. Hoping a 4K of Suspiria out there will get the Atmos track... otherwise I will just sink the audio from the US BLU to a 4K disc.

Of course I don't mind it either - I'm just completely indifferent. But I tend to be annoyed by "excessive" complaints about the lack of it. That's also because often, I'm sure, you'll get the same results by just applying an according upmixer yourself (not with proper Atmos mixes of course, don't get me wrong).

It's also not about the money, it really is about "I just don't care.". Just like I didn't care about the 7 in the 7.1 vs. 5.1. I'm just completely satisfied with audio since (lossless) 5.1. As opposed to the pq department.

I love this movie, and will welcome any release. Especially since I shed out 10k to upgrade my oled TV and get a Dolby Atmos soundbar with rears. This movie was finished in 4K and Atmos so should be amazing to witness every bone cracking moment

Atmos or not, I'm sure the audio here will be fantastic. I just don't understand why Lionsgate released Hereditary on 4K but not this (money and popularity?). And speaking of Atmos, for some reason Hereditary is available with Atmos on iTunes, but not on disc. Weird. I know it's an "upscale" cause it was mixed in 5.1, but still weird. Not like I care though lol.

This appeared on Bills list from AV forum of upcoming 4K releases that the UK only we’re getting a 4K release early 2019. I wouldn’t hold my breath

Lionsgate in the US hasn’t put any other Amazon movies on UHD so far so

As for the UK there’s very little chance of a physical release unless a studio/distributor is able to approach Amazon with plans for a home media release. The distribution deal as it stands doesn’t cover home media.

Yeah, someone used Suspiria as an example in the 'sky is falling!' thread but if Lionsgate are releasing something on behalf of another studio/production company then it's up to the latter to decide what form that physical release takes.

I'd have thought that the new 4K remaster of Tucker was a prime candidate for a UHD disc release (indeed, you can access the Dobly 4K version on streaming) from Lionsgate seeing as they'll release any old crap on UHD, never mind a Coppola joint, but as it's Zoetrope's movie they dictate what ultimately happens with it. Same dealio with amazon and suspiria in whatever territory, I'm amazed that it's getting a 4K release anywhere.

Koch media does do some high quality transfers, so I'm hoping this 4K version really comes out great.
