Over at formatwarcentral.com and at cnet.com have both quoted Bill Gates as saying:

"You have to think of what we are doing with our HD interactive software as being actually neutral to any of these platforms".

This makes Bill Gates the Biggest Creep of 2007, in my book.

How dare he use the word neutral!! He's not allowed to use that word, as it implies that his company is just an innocent bystander. Awww, isn't that sweet. Lets just brush the millions of dollars in payoffs - to incite a format war - under the proverbial rug. Does he honestly think we're all fools?

I'm going to boycott their arse.

I say to the millions of PS3 owners, including those who already hate Microsoft, take the lead and spread the word. Microsoft should be plagued with bad press over this.

If you like what I'm saying - feel free to cut and paste, enhance.

I surprised people think this is new.

MS has been known to be only supporting the lesser format in order to kill both for over a year now.

Sure it sucks, but its happening.

I would love to boycott microsoft. Heck I own an apple for a computer for cryin out loud. Sadly i have to have windows due to my job because apple does not support Vegas.

What can our staunch blu camp warriors do other than boycotting M$. Anything? I know Mystic will be all over this and perhaps she has some ideas. The blu-ray vs. HD DVD/Paramount fiasco really hit home for me on how this evil gallactic empire is going for global domination and control. I will never support anything M$ again if I can possibly help it.

Have you tried Parallels? I just moved to a Mac and FCP from Windows and Vegas. I haven't tried to run Vegas on my Mac, so I don't know if it's even a reasonable suggestion.

But, if it's an option for you, FCP puts Vegas to shame. But I digress...

My brother's 5 year old has a wii. Bought him a game for Christmas as thats what he wanted from Santa. Didn't feel good about supporting M$, but what can you do sometimes...

I AM glad that Microshibamount has just taken the pounding of all poundings though.

Don't feel too bad... Wii is made by Nintendo, not M$... You're still not tainted.

I can't boycott Microsoft even if I wanted too, my IT professor's would have my head if I got a Mac. I did just buy an ASUS eee with Linux on it recently, although I still use my Vaio more often.

I will never buy an XBOX 360, an XBOX portable (if and when it comes out), Zune, Zune Phone (if it ever comes out)... whatever you all get the point

Anyway, yeah. i would never by a microsoft product... ever. X-Box? suck. Zune? suck. Vista? suck. 360? suck. Every microsoft product besides XP? Suck.

XP is my only exeption, and its not like i would ever BUY that eiter.

That doesnt meen i got it by torrents. haha... never...

Ya know, I wonder if because of the Console War or the Format War that apple has actually benefitted some from people such as ourselves that were on the opposite side of Microsoft's personal interests.

Sorry, too many good 360 games, and now that I've applied the needed overkill hardware-wise and tweaks services-wise to get it to run well, I'm digging Vista.

If you are going to only support mega corporations with ethics, you're going to find yourself building your own PCs, game systems, DVD/BD players, alarm clocks, appliances...................

Visual Studio 2008 is among my favorites with JDeveloper11 and Oracle 11g.

I'm pretty much successful with boycott of Sony with the only one accident - DB300. But poor quality of the last one and good return policy in Sam Club saved my day.
