Not everybody can see this at work. I read this earlier though and think it's a great idea, it will cut down on why a lot of people refuse to play online. Exactly. Sony will be doing this too, once they figure out how.

And to the OP, just because YOU don't care doesn't mean others don't. Besides, why is this an issue? Are you angry at Sony for censoring levels in Little Big Planet? Are you angry at the board owners here for censoring what you can talk about here? Are you angry at the US Government for allowing judges to censoring irrellevant language in their courts? Are you angry at the school systems for censoring what students and teachers can say in class?

You really should learn what censorship is and isn't, as well as where free speach begins and ends. It's not a blank check to say whatever you want wherever you want to whomever you please, whenever the mood strikes you.

This is good news, however language will evolve. It blocks the f-word, say fark, it blacks the n-word, say naggers, it blocks the d1ck, say dyke.

I play a lot of Halo online and the ignorance of many players is tiresome. Hopefully they can figure something out. I don't mind some 13-year-old kid saying he owned me, but racial slurs, personal attacks, gratuitous profanity, absolutely not.

Software patents are a complete and utter farce because the patent office has nobody capable of properly determining validity. And big companies have plenty of cash for slick writing $450 per hour patent lawyers.

Agree 100% most of the time it is some under age kid who just learned how to swear, but not when... It comes close to ruining the game.

There are zero repercussions online. In real life, if they talked like that in public, they might get beat to death... online they might get reported, and then nothing happens at all.

This is why they need to make wired PS3 and Xbox controllers that require a 480 outlet. It draws the regular power 99% of the time, but when enough people complain about the person's language, it pulls the entire voltage and gives them one NICE shock. After enough shocks I think they would learn their lesson.

BEST IDEA IVE HEARD ALL DAY!!!!!

I will say it seems like I have more of a problem on the 360 then I do on my PS3. But I do prob play the 360 a little more online. Due to most of my real life friends have the 360....
