It would be STUPID if TPM actually missed out on it. The back covers for ANH and TESB also don't mention "The Making of Star Wars" and "SP FX: The Empire Strikes Back," but ROTJ's back cover mentions "Classic Creatures: Return of the Jedi." Weird.

I could be wrong here as I haven't checked all the covers but it looks like the special features box is typeset to have only five lines of text, and as the blurb for the commentaries takes up three lines on TPM they only had two lines left to note the special features, preferring to list those three featurettes ahead of the making of collection. In other words, if the commentary spiel was only two lines then the making of collection would've been noted below on a third line. Makes sense?

Technically, Lucasfilm made the movies. Disney is only in charge of distribution and marketing.

Bit of a random question, but comparing those back covers above - is it a stylistic choice to use the credits blocks of the original posters, or there some kind of legal requirement?
It's a really odd look for the first six films to have it squeezed in to the standard Disney layout like that. Would have thought they could have at least changed the fonts! That said, interesting to see how LucasFilm/Fox were able to keep the number of credits to a minimum on the first six movies, even in the early 2000s. RoTS only has 12 names to show. |

I remember Lucas saying it was all Anakin's story, which is of course what I was joking about. Now the "Skywalker saga" has three movies at the end he's not even in, but hey... that's what happens when you wanna make the big buckerenos. Star Wars is hardly the only franchise with that issue. |

The podracing scenes in the old DVDs and blurays were really quite reference - I am a little tenuous about the Disney treatment on the audio, especially the low end. It's one of the only parts of this movie I watch, it just - it just isn't good lmao. And I love all the other ones (yes, even Clone Wars).
