I will be shocked if Disney releases their Disney+ shows on BluRay as they want viewers to watch Disney+ and not be able to just buy the shows they want without subscribing to Disney+ even if I'm sure they would clean up by releasing The Mandalorian on Blu. Warner doesn't seem to subscribe to the same train of thought

Default 3 bd50?

A few sites have this listed as 3 BD50
High-Def Digest, comicbook.com deepdiscount amazon

The only source for 2 BD50 is blu-ray.com and the Warner Archive does not seem to list any information.

It seems a bit odd to split 2 seasons over 3 discs, but I'm not one to complain about ~30Mb vs ~20Mb if it is correct.
Could also explain waiting for 2 seasons before releasing the discs.

Anyone have any further insight into this?

One disc for each of the seasons, and a disc for special features? I dunno. Just happy that they're releasing it!

I would love some special features, but judging from the DVDs having none, and being Warner Archive (My only other experience being investigating Blindspot) it would seem unlikely. The listings all say 9 hours 54 mins as well, which would just be the length of the show.

Never know though, so I'll keep hoping

Maybe theyre splitting the episodes in a 8/9/9 pattern with no special features?

The Warner Archive Facebook announcement confirms this is a 2 disc set.

No, it's a swing tray with separate hubs for the discs.

Interesting, surprised they did that considering WB (even Warner Archive) usually put modern animation seasons on 1 disc.

Dumb question.

Has anyone seen this at any big box physical retail or is it only available online?

It's online only, Warner Archive releases practically never go to brick and mortar stores, as they're made on demand releases.

So instead of cramming 13 episodes per disc, they put the end of Season 1 and the start of Season 2 on the second disc, so this should be optimal quality for all episodes without adding a fourth disc. It's an unusual way to package two seasons in one, I'll admit, but considering how these two seasons flow from Season 1 to Season 2, I can't imagine anyone watching the show holding it against them.

I ordered my copy from Bull Moose, they shipped Monday, so it hasn't arrived yet.

I think both seasons were made together which would explain the flow.
