#TheSuicideSquad opened #1 at FRI #boxoffice with $12.15M incl THU pre-shows. CinemaScore is B+. Full opening wknd for R-rated pic looks headed to $26-28M neighborhood which will be well below $39.5M opening DAY of PG-13 #BlackWidow from a month ago. Both had streaming option.

BW made half of it's opening on Thursday/Friday. It dropped 41% from Friday to Saturday. Suicide Squad will see a bump on Saturday.

It's actually more likely to open to under $30m - people can watch this at home for free with an HBOMax subscription

Doubt it. Sequel to a horrible first movie and an hard R rating. Plus Delta is more prevalent now than it was for BW. But either way def not good $ for the film

Not sure who they have doing metrics yet they should have been worried as soon as theaters closed last year.
