Is there a 3D Blu-ray still confirmed?

I pray for good news from Germany tomorrow. Otherwise this would be a crime to not release this in 3D.

But i have a good feeling, because there are no early, pre cinema start home media announcements. Venom release info floated arround about a week before... So i hope this release will be well planed with all formats and a 3D+4K steelbook.

We will know the truth tomorrow...

Unfortunately India won't be getting a 3D Blu-ray release for this film, despite the fact that the Spider-Man 3D disc sales are doing well in India.

With "Venom: Let There Be Carnage" not getting a 3D Blu-ray release anywhere (so far, not yet announced in Japan), it looks very grim, not gonna lie. I'm ready to be surprised though. Hoping for good news.

Anyway, I'm planning to watch this sometime during the opening weekend in my nearest cinema hall which is finally offering 3D shows after reopening. Almost every show is full, so getting tickets is difficult now. Exams are getting over tomorrow, so I can't wait...

Zavvi has all of their releases listed, including the Steelbook. And to no surprise there's no 3D. I know UK's been out of the game for a bit now. Hopefully Germany, France, or Japan come through for us.

U.K. used to be a lock for Sony 3D Blu-ray though. I have a horrible feeling Sony is done with 3D Blu-rays

I remember Zavvi only posted Far From Home’s 3D Blu-ray several weeks after the 2D and 4K editions. But I also wouldn’t be surprised if they never post a 3D Blu-ray for No Way Home.

Maybe it is just because there coming no 3D impulses from Disney/Marvel no more... My theory for the last years was: Sony+Marvel=3D, Sony only: no 3D. But Venom 2 already crashed it.

The Spider-Man disc release world is only flat according to Bluray-disc.de article. Ignorant a. f. Sony !!!

This is the problem with this super rich giants like "facebook". These major movie studios also give a f. what people want. Please proof me wrong with a later 3d listing.

Unless Sony are absolutely hammered with requests for a 3D Blu-ray, they just won't bother. And the likelihood is that they just won't bother anyway.

Typical, it sounds like this movie would benefit from 3D even more than what’s come before.

Just watching the trailer is enough to know that watching the film in 2D is going to be an infinitely inferior experience.

To anyone thinking of placing a pre-order for the 4K edition - this is a great way of rewarding Sony for not releasing a 3D Blu-ray. If you must buy the film flat, it might be best to wait for a sale.

Don't see 3D on the Amazon.de listings, only Bluray and 4k. I have a feeling Sony is done with 3D now. Oh, well. I'll go see it in 3D in theaters, but I won't buy it on physical media if there's no 3D bluray. Just like I did with Venom 2. I see many copies of that film collecting dust on Target shelves.

That’s only hurting the Blu-ray format though. Nobody wins. Still a day 1 4K despite no 3D, but the hype would have been through the roof had it been 3D.

Just watched the film. The last third bothered me a little more than it should because it isn't as good as the first two thirds. But then they are easily the best of all the Spiderman films and the way they handle the fallout from the last film is top tier MCU so the difference is more obvious. Not that it matters because the last 3rd is what everyone will be talking about

There are quite a few 3d potential scenes in the film. Again the last 3rd had been done better by the MCU and that applies to the 3D potential as well.

Overall great film, enjoyed it a lot. Potential decent 3d

It certainly has its moments. It should be obvious from the trailer that there are some familiar scenes from another film plus other sequences in the same vein from other MCU films. But I'm not sure that the way they shot the climatic battle is conducive to great 3D, although there are elements again from other MCU films that should work nicely.

Two further things.

I should say good job on the trailer because it doesn't give away some of the more important story beats.

Wow!!! There are actual scenes from the film up already ??? I'm glad I didn't look.

I'm still going to give it a little extra time. Reason I feel like this release still has a chance over Venom, is because of Marvel's involvement. I believe that's the only reason why we even got a 3D release for Far From Home.

Things don't look good. But I'm not ready to count it out just yet.

Was that true of all retailers? I feel like I do remember Venom 3D being announced later. So maybe there’s a minuscule glimmer of hope. It seems especially pigheaded to not release one of their hottest titles on every format available.

Well, I only buy physical media when it's my absolute favorite film series such as Star Wars, which seems to be finished with physical media when it comes to new content such as The Mandalorian. Spider-man is good, but I only buy 3D format for physical media now because it's what I enjoy and watch. I can't remember the last time I put a 4K disc into my 4K player, but I often use the 3D discs. So for me, 3D or nothing.
