Nothing to do with broke but I usually don't buy Blu-rays if the original streaming release is in 4K with HDR...

So for me I want "WandaVision", "The Mandalorian" and "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds" on 4K UHD.
Haven't seen Strange New Worlds yet but Paramount+ starts in 2 weeks in Germany so I will watch immideately

This is very strange they have had it up for pre order for a long time and box art if it's May that's really far considering how long it's been up for pre sale.

I think Disney has made it pretty obvious they don't plan to release their Disney+ TV shows to disc. Unless there's something I've missed.

Agreed! They are the worst, bloodsucking media company when it comes to physical releases and I believe they have always been that way.

At least "The Mandalorian" was SDR in an HDR container so a 1080p Blu-ray could have the same dynamic range as the streaming version plus it probably would have better compression.
Don't know about the other series.

I'm surprised by the want to buy Strange New Worlds. I agree with most that it is better than Discovery and as a production design and characters they are better but I don't see a lot of rewatch value with these.
The best episode was the series finale, the others were mildly entertaining but still a bit bland story wise that they don't encourage me to rewatch them.
Also I think there is too much emphasis on Uhuru in these episodes, I would like to have seen more time devoted to Number One who seems to be a cameo at best in most episodes.

I'm getting it mostly as a Star Trek completionist but I did actually enjoy it a reasonable amount. To me it was more interesting than Discovery or Picard.

I really dislike that horse cover. But I'd rather have a 4k release than a regular bluray one

I imagine there will be a regular 4k release down the line? I’m not a huge fan of Steelbooks. The last time I moved they weighed a ton. (lol)

I haven't bothered buying most Trek series since they're all on streaming but I may get SNW to always have a copy available. It's an amazing series that finally got the feel right for a modern take on a vintage show.

I fall into the camp that finds/found Discovery to be complete unwatchable drivel. But, SNW is an amazing show that I think most Star Trek fans will love. I will pick up the 4K set once the price drops down a little bit.

When they say it's a limited edition, doesn't that mean limited production then they are gone? Kind hate 4K releases where they only make so many then its weeks to they make some more by demand.

I'm not sure. I assume limited to mean there will only be a certain amount. But, that seems to vary from release to release.

The city on the edge of tomorrow’s original script which Ellison wanted to remain uncorrupted from retooling by other writers would be a script worth revisiting with this new SNW series…unfortunately the most excellent Harlan has since passed and cannot be asked to marry the script with the new show, one could create a more faithful adaptation and still have an excellent companion piece to the original episode. I would also see a couple scenes of the Cage reshot in flashbacks and some smooth forehead Klingons in a espionage attempt against the Federation. Cannot wait for many many more seasons of this show
