I'm just happy "Smile" and "Bros" are opening theatrically here in Brazil, because I love seeing new movies in a theater. Disney has canceled the theatrical releases of "Barbarian" and "See How They Run", so I was afraid Paramount and Universal would follow the lead.

I'm absolutely beyond hyped for Bros. Though, I may need to wait for Sunday, depending on my schedule... All the premium screens in my local theaters are going to Avatar (seriously), so, I'd need to head out of town to get Bros on one.

They've sure been promoting it in theaters. I think the only trailer I've seen more since June or July is maybe Don't Worry Darling. I know I've been seeing it regularly since at least June (attached to Elvis).

It's been insane here in NYC. Billy has been promoting it everywhere on TV and podcasts.

Huh. I haven't seen a single mention of it outside of this forum, a single poster at the theater, and a million imdb ads. No trailers. This is despite having a fairly LGBT social circle.

I'm sure they're putting their $$ into major urban cities because they know it's a losing battle elsewhere. And then hoping that the few cishet people that go to see it and enjoy it will help grow word of mouth.

Regardless, it's coming out on disc in November so...

Are you referring to Madison? If so, it's barely in the top 100. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...es_urban_areas

They probably spent their advertising budget on the top 20 and left the rest. This is a gamble. Too many idiots in this country.

I mean, it's one of the more left-leaning and LGBT friendly counties in the country. Would be insane to forget that. The city definitely punches above its weight class, so to speak.

I keep seeing it on YouTube. I've seen it running with a apolitical content but it even runs before conservative content. I don't know if that's trolling or just an algorithm goof-up, either way it seems like wasted ad money.

However, I also have seen no promo material for it at the theaters. The same goes for the Threerelease of Avatar.
