Only the MCU movies get Japan 3D blu rays.

If it helps anyone feel any better, this movie has subtitles. Quite a few, in fact.

Makes no difference, even if it did get a conversion, it wouldn't have had a 3D Blu-ray release in Japan or anywhere else.

Oh that's a shame. The only 3D movies of recent years that I wanted for myself were the MCU ones so I never noticed other stuff wasn't coming out. [Tell a lie, I got Dune but I think that was from France.]

I would definitely have got Dial of Destiny if there were a Jap 3D of it.

TBH, I expect we'll be getting a ton of 3D content, existing and new conversions, once Apple Vision is mainstream. Yeah it's a few years off yet but I am a patient man.

Same, I'd have loved for this to be in 3D, and have a 3D blu ray available.

nope, it does not exist. the most it got was a retweet by realD 3D when the movie title was announced but it got removed afterwards.

I had thought that I was just misremembering, but then saw a 3D youtuber mention a trailer and then thought maybe I was right again! darn, although doesn't matter either way if it's not getting a release in the end.

The 4DX version of this movie is just WILD. Especially the

and the entrance to
[Show spoiler]the time fissure.

I’d prefer if they just sell us their damn movies, but studios seem so averse to doing that these days.

Slightly off topic, although realistically this might be the best chance we have to ever watch this movie in 3D at home.
Yeah, I'm hoping that if this Apple Vision Pro headset is successful then maybe owners will start demanding 3D Movie content to actually watch on the things!

One thing Cinemark does that can be confusing to audiences is when they post "Put on your 3D Glasses Now!", then show a 3D trailer of a film, and then mix in 2D film trailers afterwards too, which could be what happened.

Thanks. That retweet is possibly what helped get the rumor going that this would be 3D. I think 3D would've helped for sure.

The Cinemark thing is indeed awkward, one of my buddies saw the 2D ad for Cinemark's movie club after having been instructed to don his glasses and he thought it was the best 3D of the entire presentation.

The power of suggestion, I guess?

Indy 5 had one premium screen at the Cinemark here, and otherwise was relegated to the tiny screens buried in the bowels of the megaplex. 3D definitely would have helped, if only because the smallest 3D screen here is much larger than what Indy is on now.

I was hoping to buy tickets for the upcoming cheap Tuesday showing and I’m really shocked that the film is already being pulled from the IMAX and AVX auditoriums. Just standard screens left.

It’s just been a little over a week. This signals that it’s a massive bomb and they’re not even giving it a longer chance in premium theatres.

That's not what it shows at all. Mission:Impossible was between a rock and a hard place because with its original release date, it was only going to be in IMAX for one week.

Because Paramount has a stake in the release of DoD, there must have been some negotiation involved to allow their major summer release into premium screens a few days early.

Paramount wouldn't be taking sides against itself, so....

Well MovieWeb is calling it a bomb :

“There's no way to spin it, Dial is almost certainly going to be a box office bomb, and it didn't even face any major competition opening weekend. Dial only opened alongside Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken, which itself earned DreamWorks Animation its lowest-grossing opening weekend.”

https://movieweb.com/is-indiana-jone...ffice-success/

and with it no longer being in premium theatres they’ve lost my ticket sales. I’ll just wait to watch it on Disney+ on my home theatre (which IMO is better than a regular screen).

To each their own, I have already watched it 8 times and plan to watch it a total of 10 times while it is still in the premium screens

I'm almost relieved this did NOT get a 3-D conversion. There are a couple of close-ups of Wombat, I think her nose and chin could have poked someone's eye out.
