Only now, one would have to wonder if there’s a risk of sketchball audio and even more sketchball compression, over the Shout 4k offering. Overall, I’m glad I scooped the three-film Shout 4k set, day one. I came away with a much greater appreciation for H6, theatrical cut.

Scooping the H6 thru H8 box set on preorder last August with a 30% off movies unlimited coupon, $80.
Having every single Halloween flick I wanted to watch in my hands last October in 4k uhd in time for Halloween Horrors night 2022, Priceless.

I don’t think it’s entirely his fault though. The mask is pretty terrible and the pants are too long and baggy.

And as you said, some of the framing isn’t that good. This shot (with an H6 mask) is probably the best shot of Myers in the film. Too bad there couldn’t have been more of this.

Yeah the coveralls were way too baggy in H20; definitely did not like! I still think I'll take Durand's performance over George Wilbur or Brad Loree's though.

Despite H4 being my favorite sequel, I think Wilbur's is the weakest of all the original shape performances. He's way too stiff and clunky in his movements and the padding he has in H4 doesn't help, nor does his weight in H6. The only time the shape looks good in H4 is when it's Tom Morga. Same with H6, I prefer when it's A. Michael Lerner playing the shape (although I don't like the way that Lerner clutches his fists so much).

Brad Loree has this weird mechanical glid to him that makes him look like he's powerwalking everywhere.

I have the opposite problem with Dick Warlock weirdly enough where I feel like he's moving too slow at times. The walk he does between the Elrod house and Alice's house at the start of the movie is cool, as is the walk he does when he bumps into the radio kid on the street, but there's a few parts in the hospital that make the shape look soooo slow, like after he pulls back the sheet on the hospital bed to see that Laurie isn't there, he turns around so slowly to leave after violently stabbing into the stack of pillows. Or when he's chasing Laurie and Loomis into the operating room, there's that wide shot of him walking down a hallway towards them that lacks any sense of urgency for me because he's taking so long to get to them! Maybe all those gunshot wounds were starting to have an effect, haha

IMHO, the shape shouldn't ever look like he's exerting himself too much when he walks but he should move with a sense of purpose. It's a hard balance to strike, but I think that's what works so great about Castle's and Courtney's performances, and to a lesser extend Shanks' and Durand's (and sometimes works for me with Warlock's), there's something a little more natural and relaxed about them. Just my two cents.

And for the record, I'm not including Tyler Mane's performance because it's deliberately meant to be so much different from the rest, but it fits the tone of Zombie's movies (for better or worse).

Paramount seems like they cherry pick certain titles in a franchise and always ignore the rest. Without that Shout set really doubt even H6 would be on UHD right now.

This is great news. H20, is the only 1 that I want from the recent H6-H8 boxset.

No Halloween films before Rob Zombie's H2 have been released on BD or 4K here in Scandinavia, not even John Carpenter's original, so I would personally also really welcome a wide release of one of the better entries in the series.
Scream 4K was not released in Canada.

I wish someone would dig up the negatives for the deleted footage that made it into the TV cut and properly remaster the scenes. I'd love to see a version of the opening scene with all the added stalking bits edited back in.

They released a standard version of H20 in Germany last fall. So even if they don't release it in the UK, they may do a German release which could be cheaper to import.

It makes sense for Paramount to wanna do H20 first. It's the highest grossing of the three by a wide margin, is still a fan favourite, and the only HD releases of it in its OAR in the states are by Scream Factory.

Paramount still doesn't have the Miramax/Dimension library in Canada yet.

Just because you found a place to buy it in Canada, does not mean it was "released" in Canada.

I see. I would have thought it being shipped and sold by Amazon.ca, and not a third party, meant that it was being sold directly in Canada as well.

To be fair, I was also surprised to see "Sold By Amazon.ca". I'm not sure how they decide which foreign releases to sell officially. I wish they would do more so I don't need to import as many from Amazon.com.

If you click the link you literally quoted, it clearly says it has an MSRP of $36.99 with Bullmoose charging $27.97 for it. It'll only go lower from there upon release.

That's not a half bad price. I'll definitely be getting this.

One of my favorite Halloween films, to be honest. I'll definitely get it.

Then all I'd need would be Halloween 4 and Rob Zombie's Halloween on 4K and I'm set.

Me forgetting this exists: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Hallo...lu-ray/294497/ lmao

I swear to God, seriously, the first (and pretty much only) thing I see in that artwork is a green pig. And I really don't think I'm supposed to.
