The only DVDs I still have are the LotR trilogy, Firefly, Serenity, Heroes, and the entire Justice League series. Though as soon as any of them go Blu, they will be replaced. I only want to watch Blu-ray now.

Exclamation Same Here!

I just don't see the need to watch standard DVDs anymore. I guess I am spoiled now by the pristine display of 1080P. Now that all the studios are going to support Blu, I can wait to watch a film in Blu. In fact, I am slowing selling off my standard DVDs to poor souls who are still stuck in a 480i/480p world.

No matter hot hot a title is, if I can't get it in Blu, then I just don't get it. I want my Blu and nothing else.

Call me a snob, but if the shoe fits. . . .

I'm also only watching on either a 42" 1080i or 32" 720p set...so I don't even have 1080p and I can't watch SDTV..

It depends what kind of tv or monitor you watch a sd dvd on. If I watch one on my PC, yeah it looks terrible. But on my 15" tv, sd dvds look great because of the lower resolution.

I've been on a Speilberg kick lately, and have been watching Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, and the like. On my 1080p TV, upconverted, they don't look bad, but they just don't "do it" for me like they used to. They lack the visceral appeal I remember when seeing them the first time.

Blu-ray has spoiled me. Only when I watch Blu-ray ( and even HD-DVD, though to a lesser extent) do I lose myself in the movie. The PQ and AQ are so perfect, I am totally immersed.

With DVD, I know I'm watching a DVD. I feel disconnected from the experience. It is hard to explain to people who don't have Blu-ray what this feels like. They don't understand the power a perfect movie experience can have over a person.

DVDs are okay, I guess. But substandard image and sound are no longer "good enough". I want ALL my movies on Blu-ray. Give me the exceptional experience I've discovered in Blu, or don't bother.

If it's not on Blu-ray, I won't buy it (there was one exception a few weeks back). I will watch SD DVD, though (just not happily).
