[the quintessential Bond era]

Bond in the '70s: Diamonds are Forever through Moonraker; 5 films

Then a Brosnan set.

Now I just need some kind soul to design some custom covers for me, and manufacture rigid outer boxes, print mini posters, lobby card reproductions, write essays, etc...
I sort of did this as a custom job for the Blu-Ray set about 3 years ago. 25 films, spread across 5 cases containing 5 films each.

Here's the mockups and here's the finished products.

The only awkward split was The Living Daylights and Licence to Kill being in two different cases, but it worked out pretty well otherwise.

Ugh, this is so disappointing if true. How many more years until we get a box set of all the films?

And what does one set's sales have to do with another anyway.
What I just said above- with physical media especially studios don't want to risk spending any more money than they have to so making a giant 25 disc set is a much greater upfront cost and risk of lower sales as opposed to smaller sets or individual releases. Think of the number of people who would drop say $200 on a 25 disc set, versus pick up smaller sets for $40-50 or so.

This is what happened with Batman: Mask of the Phantasm. Warner directly said that based on the good sales numbers of the Blu-ray they went ahead with the Blu-ray set of the animated series. They didn't want to risk spending the time and money on the series without testing the waters first to gauge how much interest and most importantly money people were willing to give.

Look what happened other times when they made an upgrade for only one movie or series and it wasn't the one people ended up wanting as much and then they cancelled the rest.... and the customers definitely lost out and I'd bet the companies too in some cases.

Look at no Deep Space Nine yet despite the constant clamor for that one on BD.

And in any case, for the consumer it's way better to get them all out there, then we have them and some weird sales figure or company losing rights or new boss killing physical media or UHD or whatnot won't matter. We are the consumers.

Yeah, I gotcha on that. I'm not saying it is necessarily the best for consumers, I am just trying to explain their logic.

As for DS9 there is a lot of clamoring for that I agree, but apparently TNG didn't sell that well relative to what they were expecting so I don't think CBS would want to go rebuild all seven seasons for that reason. Perhaps they might make a test run of the first season but if they haven't by now I don't think they ever will really.

At least for me regarding 007, whether they come in sets or even individuals I am buying them all provided they aren't some janky wax fests.

I'd personally prefer a hard slipbox with individual cases for each film with OG poster art. On the other hand, I already have the Craig 4K set, so I suppose my OCD will want the rest to look like that as well (imgaine how neat the spines would be in they perfectly lined up). Then again, I'll double (really quintuple) dip on Bond any day.

Huh? but Connery is dead Im confused?

He wasn’t dead in 1971 when he came back to do Diamonds are Forever.

I ignore YOLT and DAF in my cannon of Connery films. They are just too cheesy and Sean is not giving a shit with his performance.

Hope they include On Her Majesty's Secret Service just for completeness.

Then they can do a Roger Moore set followed by a combined set for Dalton/Brosnan.
