You must be kidding. VS has pretty awful artwork, worst what i have seen for this movie & the encode was really bad, chroma compression & other problems. Sold it after first watch.

Nah, the VS artwork f*cks and the transfer is amazing, sure the Arrow disc will most certainly be awesome as well but that doesn’t take away that the artwork is still balls

I actually love the VS artwork. Much better than Arrow's in my opinion, but I am definitely getting getting the Arrow release.

The 5.1 English remix which is on neither the VS or Arrow releases, and some other specifically German-related material (like the "German bootleg mix").

There's also a German-language commentary that's on Turbine's release, iirc.

I think the artwork rules which is one of many reasons why I'll likely be double dipping.

I flipped the VS art to the poster but it is still really nicely done and I always enjoyed it. The Arrow art gets the likenesses right mostly but that's about it, it's like a Shart Factory cover but painted by a real painter. Horrible composition. Do not care for it in the least!

For example, both The Cell and The Gift are new-to-Arrow 4K UHD upgrades for £22, while Lifeforce at £22 is two 4K UHD discs and an upgrade of Arrow's Blu-ray set. Since The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 is also an upgrade, albeit with some new extras, it seems odd that it is £13 more than these others.

I'm not too concerned about the price, I just want to know if I missed some sort of new pricing scheme announced by Arrow for 2025.

The LEs with the rigid cases and thick booklets have always been more expensive, but yeah, there has been a price increase from £30 to £35. Think I saw MifuneFan posting about it, too.

Texas is bigger box hard Slipbox and yes seems they've bumped price up £5
compared to same type previous Limited's like Silence of Lambs

rest you mention are just with Slipcover not Slipbox hardcase so have been £22 for a while so seems that price is staying same for now

Thanks for that. I don't really care about packaging beyond its function, so I don't always register the type of packaging being offered if the discs are in amaray case. I appreciate that you guys are paying more attention.

I noticed the slight increase as well. I just got The Great Escape in for $35. Feels like a steal with two films and 3 discs.

TCM2 is up at $38 on Orbit.

Pretty much every retailer and label has had rising costs (outside of discs too) over the past few years.

That's what I was just thinking. It's my fault, but I guess I let someone talk me into getting the VS before the LE sold out. Oh, well. I'm very confused here.

Edit...

Does anyone know if the VS is FiM?

Edit...

Anyone think this'll get a store exclusive?

The VS disc is not FiM. Arrow isn't doing a store exclusive.

Pretty good chance that FiM will handle the Arrow encode?
