Ugh, yeah they’re clearly outputting at max brightness. Idk why that’s been done. They must know about it, right? Its shit. I literally just checked my Eureka Police Story ones to know if La Notte was worth considering because of this very issue (they’re fine, Eureka appears to get it right)

And before someone says “just change your subtitle brightness” not all of us have fancy players that can do that. My UB450 can’t move them or tone them down, and that’s not even a bottom range player.
