Not sure I ever knew that, although I'm not at all surprised.
Good thing I didn't harp on this transfer not being approved by the cinematographer then.

Thanks!

Yep, Mary Ann Bernard doesn't exist either, it's the name under which he edits his films.

I know this to be true because I witnessed him operate the camera on some of this film.

This short article actually goes into pretty good detail about why directors like Soderbergh use pseudonyms.
It's sorth a quick read if, like me, you were in the dark.

I bought this on the recommendation of someone I follow you YouTube, and our taste in movies is pretty similar. Not sure what I was expecting, but it wasn't the laugh-riot he made it out to be, even while I was gardening. I thought the writing would be a lot more witty, especially considering the stacked cast. Still, enjoyable, but maybe not worth a blind-buy if you're on the fence.

Not saying anything will change for you, but I've noticed some of these take a first watch to set expectations and get a lot more appreciation on a rewatch.

I was bored in theater for this one and then laughed my heiny off at home when I saw it next.

I remember the reviews being pretty negative when it was first released, so I skipped it at the time, so I was surprised when he recommended it so highly. I'll give it another go down the road.

I really enjoyed the film in theaters, but I haven't seen it in years. I do remember that it had a very unique, weird tone, and the film wasn't a financial success. Much like The Good German, I think this is a very dangerous blind buy, especially at $30, for what it's worth.

Got my copy finally. Have to say this was refreshing and reminded exactly why I buy UHDs; the color and contrast were so very much improved.

I have high hopes for other stylized titles, like Hail Caesar and Oh, Brother where art thou being treated similarly.

The movie is still one of Damon's best and my wife and I could still not stop laughing.
