I barely remember "Space 1999". I think it was made in the mid-70's when re-runs of Star Trek were becoming popular. One cool spaceship for the time.

Serious'ish? The main story begged for comedy, I mean, aliens dropping off a supersuit and the guy loses the instructions, priceless...

I had to google "Space 1999" but now that I see it, I do remember the spaceship.

I agree, how could it not have a funny twist to it? I watched it religiously when it was on. The serious push was due to the new darker and more real world the X-men, Spiderman, and other newer superhero movies that came out.

Oh crap, I remember that one.

Here is one that you won't know or will rock you memory: The Phoenix. They played the pilot and four episodes before killing it. I guess there were 8 or 9 shows total made. Good story idea but really not produced well. Never make it to blu though.

Rumor is the star of it (can't remember his name) had an agent that thought he was the next big thing due to the upcoming TV show and after the filming of Star Trek II (great flick) he told the producers to bump his name up or leave it off the credits. They left him off the credits. He played Kahns son or 2nd in command, can't remember. Star Trek fans????

The Greatest American Hero.
Cannell wouldn't pony up for the music, let alone the music for the episode where the song was plot critical. Do you really think he'd pony up for new HD transfers?

I do believe it's possible though, and that it was his last show finished on film.

Shot on analog videotape, no point

Parker Lewis Can't lose WOULD be great!
Mastered on analog videotape. Sony hasn't even released it on DVD yet

These are the facts: Virtually nothing from 1985-1999 will ever be released on Blu-ray, because either they were shot on videotape, or the cost of doing so far outweighs the revenues it would bring in, even if TV syndication is factored in

If and when stuff does come out, it willl be action/scifi oriented programming

If memory serves, he died of a drug overdose.
