Also, since most movies and music don't contain notes that low, I am not sure of the point.

The most important info on a sub to me is how well it produces the range found in most soundtracks (probably 20 - 40 hz). I want a sub that produces these frequencies with power and low distortion. If a sub that can do this can also hit 10hz, then that is a bonus. I just see many people concentrating too much on just how low a sub can go, and not apparently caring about the rest.

I have two subs in my theater - Paradigm Servo 15 and a Seismic 12. I have no idea exactly how low they can go, but I do know they sound amazing when watching movies or listening to music - and that is what is important to me. I am sure there are subs out there that can go lower, but that doesn't mean they are better subs (though they certainly could be).
Excellent post !

The scale in this software is highly configureable. What should I set the range to?

Each track covers 10 Hz.
So track 1 is 10-19Hz.
Track 2 is 20-29Hz.
And so on.

Enjoy.
Thanks, when I get home I will try it out.

The more granular the better...I would go with steps of 1dB.

When I move the cursor over on the 10hz note, it shows it as 122(-33.7)db, over the 16hz note, it shows it as 121 (-19.6)db.

I read on wikipedia that the human threshold for feeling is around 16hz. Not sure then why they make an organ that hits around 8hz. Maybe the building vibrates, and then you feel that.

-19.6dB is about 100x lower in level (20dB is exactly 100x). So the 16Hz tone is about 100x lower that a tone at 0dB. -33.7dB (rounding it to -33 for ease) is 2000 times lower.

I played it at the time spot where the 10hz hit, and I couldn't feel it, so I am assuming it is to low in the CD, or you simply can't feel a 10hz frequency. But the 16hz waves feels great.

10hz is something you can certainly feel given the right circumstances. If you can't feel it, either your sub can't go that low with enough umph, or the recording level on the CD for that range isn't high enough. From the graph you posted, my guess would be the CD level.
