I've seen the PB13-Ultra compare favorably to the EP600. (If you search on the Axiom message board, you may be able to find some comparisons--I know there was at least one.) I'd go for the SVS for the value. I went with Axiom for my EP800s (had an EP600 prior), but there are better deals out there. SVS seems to be high bang-for-buck, along with HSU Research and Elemental Designs. Anyway, I think you'll be more than happy with the PB13-Ultra. I'd say the only reasons to go with Axiom for subs would be for aesthetics or if you're going all-out and getting the EP800.

you can also find a great thread posted somewhere, indicating not only the specs, but a straightforward comparison amongst a number (if not majority) of subs out there, including ID companies.
id also suggest the SVS, but then again, i cant really say considering i havent done an analysis on the axiom. auditioning for any speaker is essential. with reputable companies, they'd allow this to occur for shipping cost taken care of by the consumer. |

I was also looking at this last year and opted for an SVS sub instead of Axiom (I was looking between the Axiom EP350 and the SVS 20-39 PCi... and I ended up choosing the SVS 20-39 PC Plus).
I have to admit that the my SVS sub is my favorite piece of gear in my setup! Last edited by Johk; 05-20-2009 at 09:09 PM. |
