Yeah I'm the same way.. I used to love House...but the new girl is just awful and the Cuddy/House off/on/off again relationship is has run it's course.

I didn't watch the new episode with 13 yet.

The new girl is leaving in the next few eps. 13 comes back in the next episode.

Robert Sean Leonard to leave 'House'?

Robert Sean Leonard has admitted that he is uncertain if he will return to House next season.

None of the medical drama's lead cast - except series star Hugh Laurie - are currently contracted for an eighth year, with Leonard recently signing up to star in Broadway play Born Yesterday.

"This is my last season of House," he told TV Line. "I'm shooting my last episode now. Contractually this is it. There's also no deal for House [as a series] next year because Comcast bought NBC Universal and no-one has a deal."

He continued: "If I do House next year it'll be under a new umbrella. But legally and contractually, I'm free after this [season]."

However, Leonard then added that he is uncertain if he will remain with the show or not.

"The long and short of it is, I don't know," he said. "I assume they'll make another year of House. And I assume I will do it. But I can't say for sure."

The actor went on to say that if House is renewed, he will have to miss "quite a few" episodes due to his Broadway commitments.

"I would either have to not be in the first few episodes or they'd have to delay the start date," he claimed. "Or I can be written lightly in them and shoot a couple of Mondays here and there. Anything's possible."

He also denied that the show's upcoming seventh season finale will write out his character James Wilson.

"That's not the plot of the episode," he insisted. "That's not what the episode is about at all. [Wilson] can't just go away. The show just isn't structured that way. He has to be there. It's the way the show works."

Really hope he comes back next season as Wilson's one of my favorite characters and I just can't see him not being on House anymore and love the chemistry him and Hugh have.

I think he is just stating the obvious...

Nobody really has a contract beyond the season unless the show gets renewed. I gather Laurie has a contingency contract (as the title character it makes sense) that IF the show goes 8, he is on for 8... but everyone probably has to re-enlist for an eighth season.

I don't know how it does in the ratings... but unless it has tanked or the actors want to move on... I'm game for another run.

Wilson IS my favorite character on the show. I would hate to see him leave. A little Wilson is better than no Wilson.

Could "House" Be On a Network Other Than Fox Next Season?

Fox and NBC Universal still haven’t reached a deal for next season for the hit show House. The two sides are still far apart according to a report from Variety.

NBCUniversal has given Fox an extension on the window of negotiation exclusivity. That ends April 15. If the two sides can’t come to an agreement, NBCUniversal will offer the show to competing networks, including, of course, the Peacock, which would likely be more than happy to take the series away from Fox.

NBCU is looking for the same terms it currently has where Fox picks up the full cost of production, plus a premium. But Fox is looking to pay less amid falling ratings and higher production costs and cast salaries. Variety notes that the longer shows air, the higher the production costs and also notes that when House began in 2004, NBC didn’t own Universal yet so NBC didn’t have the first choice to buy it. The deal needs to get done fairly soon as Fox needs to make decisions on its pilot pickups and fall schedule within the next few weeks.

My guess is that they’ll get a deal done and House will be back on Fox. But I’m sure Human Target fans will be shouting “NBC Universal is asking for too much, don’t pay it!” in the hopes it frees up another hour of the schedule (that would still probably go to a new show and not Human Target, but still…)

I really don't see Fox letting go of this show and watching another network pick it up.

Wilson is to House as Watson is to Holmes. They keep the other one in check. They wrote the characters this way so Wilson has to remain in the show even if its a rare occurence.

House and Wilson were based on Holmes and Watson so that's why they sound like Holmes and Watson. It's not a coincidence.

That was a good episode. Even though I knew what House was going to say at the end, it was still a pretty damn emotional moment.

I do not usually watch House much at all, but I know enough of the characters since it's been on for so long. :-) FWIW, this was a really great episode!

I liked that he gave her the option of doing it now... no waiting!

But it makes sense... in House fashion, that would be how me could bond with her... on that issue, he would be willing to come forward.

I'm curious to see how Masters goes out... because I presume she will go out in a way that precludes her ever coming back. I like Masters actually.. but always knew she would be gone once 13 was back... so I'm anxious to see how they do it.

I figured they were setting up for her exit with a huge emotional impact from essentially healing a murderer, who she assumed to be the opposite. Then this episode, there is absolutely no mention of it as if it never happened. I know it wouldn't affect anyone else, but I sure figured the show would mention it again with her, being the character she is.

Good episode with Thirteen though, but more eager to see her back in the actual hospital setting.
