I never liked concerts on DVD. I thought they were a waste of money, but on blu I would have to say otherwise.

Unfortunately, I doubt I'll have the pleasure getting too many too soon as I'm real picky with my music (even though I like many genres).

Concerts I own

Within Temptation: Black Symphony

My hope for future releases

Epica
Kamelot
Lacuna Coil
Nightwish
Tarja Turunen
Therion
Tristania

2pac
Nas
Wu-Tang Clan

The Eagles

Aerosmith
Black Sabbath
Dio
Iron Maiden
Jason Becker (unlikely, since he's dead and only has one DVD)
Marty Friedman
Megadeth
Ozzy Osbourne
Pantera
Slayer

I'm sure I'm leaving some out.

4) Fleetwood Mac Live in Boston
5) Rush - R30 (complete with the 8 missing songs)
6) Queen + Paul Rodgers - Return of the Champions/The new 2008 Kharkov show
7) Peter Gabriel - Growing Up Live
8) Phil Collins - Finally...The First Farewell Tour
9) R.E.M. Perfect Square
10) Yes Songs from Tsongas
11) Matchbox Twenty SHOW
12) Eagles Farewell I Live from Melbourne (available on HD-DVD)

I would also love to see the Led Zeppelin reunion show at the O2 arena released as it was apparently filmed with 17 HD cameras as well as U2 3D which was released in theaters but has not made it to DVD and/or Blu-Ray Disc.
Is the U2 concert in Chicago a confirmed release? That would be sweet... a definite day 1 purchase for me. I saw this on DVD and wanted it for Christmas, until our family bought a Blu-ray player.

None of the titles in my wishlist are confirmed releases for 2009. However, U2 are releasing their new CD No Line on the Horizon on March 3, 2009 and will follow that with a tour. More than likely one of the shows on the upcoming tour will be filmed in HD (probably by Hamish Hamilton) and released on DVD (and hopefully Blu-Ray).

I want Blackalicious on BD, but there isn't a single review on it yet. Still it's only 14 bucks on amazon.com, so perhaps I'll be the one to post a user review on it.

I wish there was a Tool BD, an Aphex Twin BD, a Squarepusher BD, and Daft Punk, all with a Linear PCM track!
