Ordered this a month ago on Amazon...

They've been "temporarily" out of stock the entire time...

Kinda starting to lose hope in them getting more stock of it any time soon. Might just bit the bullet and cancel, get it for a bit more used.

Did it get re-released without that terrible side banner? It's sold by Walmart but I never saw a plain version of the cover like that.

Sold out at every retailer I could find & Amazon removed their "Temporarily Out of Stock" to simply only marketplace sellers.

Out of those even only SecondSpin has cheap copies, so I finally just got it used.

It's still listed on DMC, but I have a strange feeling it'll probably be a backorder. Also 29.95 is a painful price on there...

I ordered this on WowHD a few weeks ago for a fiver; it was OOS at the time but shipped last week. Do they ship to the US?

Not listed on their US or UK sites anymore. Still in their search database though, even though zero results.

Oh, really?

When they announced the Tom Baker Season 1 Blu-ray, I figured this wouldn't be far behind. Hopefully tons of new extras like the Who set.

I like this film better than most, but excising the best scene of the book (Arthur attempting to avoid his house being demolished) and replacing it with a new version that had all the jokes removed was terrible.

They mean the box office bomb, not the BBC tv miniseries. I'd love to see the BBC tv miniseries get cleaned up and released, but, chances are slim.

It was mentioned somewhere on this site that it will be the television series that is being remastered by the BBC and Hitchhikers will see a blu-ray release at some point in the future. Hoping it is November as that would finally give us a date to look forward too.

They're easy to miss, yeah. Think I may start putting "Link:" before or maybe "(link)" after. Should have a bold color or double underline or something.

Now, if we can get "Spaced" next...

Has anyone else tried their disc lately? I put mine in tonight (obligatory 42nd birthday viewing, of course) and the disc no longer loads. Player says it can't be read. Is this one with a known failure?

Just tested mine, didn't want another John Tucker incident, and it plays fine.

Did this get re-released, or was it always the same dumb 'swoosh' artwork that takes up about half of the cover?

I just tried the disc I bought in 2013 or 2014, it still works. Although, it was a replacement disc because the first disc I purchased did not play. The first one had the swish artwork, the second did not.
