Believe it or not, I've thrilled numerous people recently with "Hairspray" - the colors pop, the sound is excellent, and the detail is perfect.

I'm afraid I can only half agree with you here. I love the movie, and it does sound great...but New Line DNR'd this one to holy hell.

depends on the person and my mood

this week I showed the final battle of Kill Bill vol. 1 to my uncle. the fight with Oren Ishii. There is a moment where the fight pauses, the camera pulls back to the little waterfall type thing with the cup that tips when it fills up. For me at this point, that's the most beautiful shot I've seen on blu-ray.

ooh. I also showed him Baraka, just random scenes.

Default What blu-ray do you use to show off your system?

Curious as to what everyone uses to show off their system. One for sound, one for picture, or both. What do you guys use?

Great, maybe perfect for audio but not good enough for video to me. I would still have to go with I am Legend. Literally perfect picture and best surround presence of any BD I've heard. But I did just buy King Kong and have read nothing but perfect reviews but I still haven't watched it. And then of course the obvious three, Cars, Ratatouille, and Wall-E. Personally, I'm partial to Wall-E because it is the greatest animated movie of all time.
