Watchmen: The Complete Motion Comic (US BD) in March

Still till this day as I posted in March, I cannot rent it to check it out.

It is 5 hours, right? I saw the movie on BD and still to this day I don't know if I should spend the time watching this action comic BD let alone buying it.

Edit: I didn't realize a used copy was so cheap on Amazon. I wasn't going to get that first without seeing the movie to see if I liked that to start with. Anyway I ordered the action comic now and should have it by weekend.

I'm interested in it. I plan on picking up a used copy cheap eventually. I'm going to more than likely pass on the Ultimate edition since I got Watchmen and Tales of the Black Freighter on such a good deal. I like Watchmen and it'd be kind of fun to watch it in this way. There's a "first chapter preview" on Black Freighter.

I actually Bought The Blu Ray Motion Comic When It Was Released.It Had A Certificate For A FREE Ticket to See Watchmen At The Theater.

I Am Sorry I Havent Posted Before,but it was before I became a Member Of This Forum,and Before I Ever Saw This Thread.

I will Be Honest,I Have NEVER Watched The Motion Comic.It and everything else that was included is still in the case(Minus the Ticket Certificate)I will watch it eventually,But for Now I see it as More Of A Collectible.

I Paid $39 for it at Best Buy the Day it was Released.I know it is cheaper now,but I also got an $8.00 ticket which made the actual price closer to $31.00.

This can be had for like $8 used on Amazon, if anyone's interested. If you're planning on getting the Ultimate Watchmen edition this holiday season, you can pass on the Motion Comic for now. It will be included in that package.

I got the motion comic from the guy I do reviews for at dvdivas.net - and it's a great presentation. My only complaints:

1) A MAN does all the voices, including female parts

2) It doesn't include the supplemental material that the original books contained, like the excerpts from "under the hood."

There are also quite a few minor omissions of parts of dialogue contained in the comic as well.

How on Earth would you expect them to show straight text in a presentation like this? Just have black letters on white scrolling up the screen at the end of the chapter?

Looking forward towards viewing it when I receive it. The price was right and thanks for your input. No biggie if I don't like it but again there was no way to rent it so I had no choice really to see it other than to blind buy it.

Got it yesterday in the post. I'm looking forward to watching some of it today. Something tells me I'm going to like it but it seems the movie definitely has a "love it or hate it" opinion and really no in between.

Under the Hood is on the Black Freighter release, they shot it kind of newsreel style as they were shooting the movie, it turned out pretty good. I hope they include it in the extras on the Ultimate Edition.

They did adapt it into a live action "TV program" for Tales of the Black Freighter, and yes, it is planned on being included with the Ultimate Cut edition.

But that's not a "motion comic" adaptation of the Under the Hood material, it's a live action film adaptation.
