Its not that I forgot it just not everyone likes Enchanted Arms. I know I play it all of the time but there is plenty who would say otherwise.

Atelier Rorona received a positive critical reception, garnering a 90/85/80/75 ranking from Dengeki PlayStation and a 30/40 from Famitus magazine. Similar to the situation with From Software's Demons Souls, low initial shipments seems to be one of the leading factors behind the sell out. Atelier Rorona sold around 25,000 copies it's first day, selling through over 70% of it's initial shipment. No word on when a new shipment is due.

I'm happy that Atelier Rorona is doing so well in Japan because then there are better chances that NISA will bring it to America. Oh and I recognize some of those other games on there as well.

Atelier Rorona coming to Europe

Playstation Portable.de got in touch with NIS Europe to talk about the European version of Badman and discovered something about Rorona. (Thanks for the tip Jose!!)

Allison Walker, Project Development Manager at NIS Europe, subtly announced Atelier Rorona for Europe. In the interview Walker says, “We are currently working on ‘Atelier Rorona‘ (PS3).” Can’t get much clearer than that!

So far, NIS America has not announced anything official for Atelier Rorona. However, it seems unlikely that Atelier Rorona will be a European exclusive.

Atelier Rorona Next Year in U.S. for Summer

Santa Ana, CA (October 2, 2009) –NIS America revealed today that the much anticipated PlayStation®3 title Atelier Rorona will be making its way here next summer.
The popular alchemic RPG series from Gust makes an evolutionary change with Atelier Rorona. The anime style characters and backgrounds remain, but they have been upgraded with a stunning cell-shaded animation style. The basic game play carries over the tradition of the Atelier series, using alchemy as the main focal point. Like the previous series, players can craft new items and also battle enemies using the power of alchemy.

Gust Hinting At Atelier Rorona 2 for PS3? NIS Maybe This Is Your Chance To Say a Release Date For the 1st Game for Us Americans.



Looks like Atelier Rorona is all set for another HD adventure. This week's Dengeki PlayStation has an ad that seems to be teasing a new PS3 entry in the series.

While the ad in doesn’t mention Atelier or Atelier Rorona, the girl looks strikingly like an older version of Rorona. The magazine ad says we’ll see her in two weeks. Atelier Rorona 2 reveal then?

Wow, I'd forgotten that NISA officially announced they were bringing Rorona over. My wife will be thrilled, especially with the (hopeful) announcement of a sequel.
