Any idea what type of RCA cables should be used to connect the Pioneer SC07 Pre Out to the UPA-7 amplifier.

BJC LC-1 (just pick the length that you need)

Check out my first post on page 3...go with that!

Of course going a little over your budget for the Images from saturday audio wouldnt be too shabby either! Let us know what you get!

Just FYI you most likely can get more bang for your buck by going with a (somewhat) dedicated sub manufacturer instead of staying with the brand of your speakers...HSU, SVS, AV123, Epik, Elemental designs are a few to consider.

Thanks for the link. Checked the price for a foot $101.00. Wow. I would like to eventually get the cables Emotiva is coming out next month. Here are the pictures, they look great. http://emotivalounge.proboards.com/i...ay&thread=4790
I was thinking of using PREMIUM 2 RCA Plug/2 RCA Plug M/M 22AWG Cable - 1.5ft from Monoprice for the interim. Will these work to connect the amp to the SC07.

You will not be able to get better performance than good old RG59 or RG6 shielded cables. RG59 is more flexible. RG6 is a bit thicker and less flexible. You need 7 of them.

3ft RG59:

6ft RG59:
http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...seq=1&format=2

3ft RG6:

6ft RG6:

EDIT: You can buy the RG59 cable in pairs.

3ft pair RG59:

6ft pair RG59:

blurayas11,

I see you're going with the UPA-7... I too am looking into the XPA-5. I know I said that the SC-07 would be fine, but of course it goes without saying that separates will give you better performance and be better over the long-haul with 4 ohm speakers..

enjoy and let me know what you think about the sonic differences!

I thought in the long run it will be better to use the amp. Also reading in the forums it seems it does improve the sonic too, will find out. Also I am going through upgradeitis. Just ordered a lot of stuff viz: MiddleAtlantic rack with the custom plates, Panamax 5400, Emotiva UPA-7, Techflex wire managing Sleeving, Wall plate for the HDMI input and Surround Sound Distribution Wall Plate. So I am going to be pretty busy for the next few days putting all the pieces together. I am excited though.

Default PSB Synchrony One - WINNER!

In a group test performed by British magazine Hi-fi News & Record Review, the PSB Synchrony One came out on top. This is what they said:

Quote:
Cost no object, the best speaker in this test is the PSB Synchrony One - and so it should be, you may say, considering that it is by some margin the most expensive. But the PSB really is a cut above: a neutral, transparent speaker that is endlessly insightfull and enjoyable. Clearly this marque - which benefits from R&D conducted at Canada's National Research Council - is one that deserves to become better known here.
The speakers tested were as follows with their rating based on sound quality on a score of 100:

Audio Physic Temp - 81
B&W CM9 - 78
Dynaudio Focus 220 - 74
Pioneer S-81 - 84
PSB Synchrony One - 88
Spendor A6 - 70

hopefully that translates to the PSB Imagine T, because I was strongly doubting whether or not I should have gotten the B&W 683 or CM7 instead..

I just wanted to say... I still love my PSB speakers. They are just awesome. I expected to be tired of them but they still sound great.

I ended up getting the standard PSB Image Concert Theater Package (2x T45 / C40 / 2xB15 / 6i Sub) it came out to ~$1540 shipped. I would have gone with the page 3 link, but I didn't mind paying ~$80 more for A stock rather than "cosmetically damaged ones" (which I realize can often look just as good as A stock, and always sound as good...I'm just paranoid! ).

I won't have an opportunity to set them up until Friday (they arrived yesterday), but I'll be sure to post my general impressions. I'm quite sure they will outperform my year 2002 Onkyo HTIB speakers by a considerable margin!

I believe it PSB want to redesign with that image model new speakers.

PSB image old model all speakers are discontiued and lower price. it'll fast sold out.

I'll planning buy PSB speaker image new model for B6 monitor. I need the speaker add for rear surround on 7.1 channel

Congrats!!! Prepare to be Dazzled! Let us know if you have any questions while setting them up. Are you going to put the B15s on stands? Sanus 31 inchers from amazon are pretty cheap and work perfectly.
