I'm a huge old car buff, so seeing the classics get thrashed, especially knowing that they had to be restored before they were thrashed, is hard to watch.

Classic cars in films (that get wrecked) are not always what they appear to be. Sometimes they are fakes.

Against All Odds - the chase scene through Sunset Blvd is still damn good. One of the best, imo.

Almost all high value cars in movie chase crash scenes are just painted shells over a tube steel saftey frame with motors good enough to get the scene filmed.
