If we stick to US-numbers only, and include sporting events (and other stuff, like miniseries) the top 5 is: 1. M*A*S*H (the series finale) 2. Dallas (the "Who Shot J.R.?" episode) 3. Roots (the final episode of the miniseries) 4. Super Bowl 16 5. Super Bowl 17 The Cheers finale would be down at #22. If you look at the rest of the top 25 you get a few Olympics (like the Nancy Kerrigan vs Tonya Harding drama of '92), some more Super Bowls, The Beatles' first appearance on the Ed Sullivan show, and some other random stuff. But not many regular TV shows (only 1 other, I think). |

that SB 16 listed had a 49.1 rating but only about 110,000,000 viewers but SB 43 had a 42.0 rating but had 151,600,000 due to more people now. Last edited by dcowboy7; 04-16-2009 at 01:51 AM. |

Actually Topanga was pretty good-looking but it was Angela that I really liked in the college seasons, wow.
![]() Ouch she's in a 2007 "in production movie" and nothing since so I guess her career is over. ![]() |

As a teenager I was lucky enough to catch the repeat of an episode which explained to me the theory I still use to explain about drinking beer, the in-depth and always excellent "Buffalo Theory" God bless you Cheers!
The Buffalo Theory as told by Cliff Clavin: No one can explain this as well as Cliff Clavin, on Cheers. One afternoon at Cheers, Cliff Clavin was explaining the Buffalo Theory to his buddy Norm. and here's how it went: "Well ya see, Norm, it's like this... A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. "In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, as we know, kills brain cells. But naturally it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers." |

Syndication
Boy Meets World reruns began airing on the Disney Channel after the show ended in 2000. However, the show was removed from the Disney Channel's lineup in 2007. The Disney Channel edited episodes with mature content (i.e. sexual innuendo) and did not show three episodes involving mature themes: "If You Can't Be With the One You Love...", "PROM-ises, PROM-ises", and "The Truth About Honesty". ABC Family also aired the show, but without editing any content. However, ABC Family refused to air any of the Christmas-themed episodes. In August 2007, ABC Family stopped airing Boy Meets World. Fans have generated multiple petitions to get the show back on a network. Gah I would start a petition myself to get this on DVD or blu-ray if I thought it would help! O/T, I can't remember the last time I SAW Cheers! ![]() |

http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/bmw0on0dvd Its not going to work though, no matter how many signatures there are. Disney is just... who knows what they're doing. They rather make CGI Finding Nemo knock offs, I guess. Quote:
