Depends on your taste. I liked the show to a point, but thought Wings was better.

I liked Wings but Cheers was amazing. It was probably one of the first truly great shows I've ever seen.

One Tree Hill is my favourite show of all-time but I'd have to go with M*A*S*H for the best show ever.

I've always assumed Mash would be hard to get into.

M*A*S*H is actually not a show I watched when it was running because back then I was more of a reader and a video gamer.

I thought it stopped airing ten or so years back? Wouldn't you have been too young?

I'm 29 but I have no idea when it stopped airing, I was just guessing. I just know I didn't start to like M*A*S*H until I was in my 20s.

Wow, didn't know you were that old. So are you saying Mash is easy to get into or not? I can't tell.

Masob89. That 70s Show is pretty damn good... I couldn't compare it to Cheers but it's great in it's own right.

I think M*A*S*H is easy to get into if you see more than 3-5 episodes of it. Right mix of a cast that fits well together, good writing, solid drama and a lot of necessary laughs in a show set in a war zone/period.

I should try it... I guess I'm worried it won't be for me because I usually hate war stuff. Despite how well-made Band of Brothers was I couldn't get into it.

I usually hate war stuff too which is why I won't even bother with Band of Brothers. I love M*A*S*H though, going to wait till the end of the year for the blu and then just get it on DVD. Only have the 1st season so far, not sure why.

Really? Then maybe it would be good for me.

Besides, when shows are that renown I can't help but be interested.

Cheers is still my favorite comedy, and even though you'll run into the people who will say it went downhill after Shelly Long left, I still believe Ted Danson carried the show. I think you could have had him hitting on a pineapple and it'd still be hilarious, especially with the bums in the bar encouraging him on. You simply can't get any better then Norm and Cliff. And let's not forget about Frasier. Great show, simply great.

And I always missed The Coach/Ernie in later seasons, even though Woody was a great replacement.

So true. One of the greatest casts of any show period. I loved Fraiser in the show so much more than on his spin-off.

You must be part if the Colbert Nation to say something like "great show or greatest ever?" He always says that kind of stuff. I think it's hilarious.

Cheers was pretty epic, though. Talk about a long-running series that was popular throughout its tenure on television, and it might be hard to top it. I'd say that M*A*S*H is generally recognized as the "best ever," but for my money I put Seinfeld up there; possibly the best in my book.

I can't say a show that was "about nothing" is the best show ever, especially since I've never even considered owning that show in any format, ever.
