Actually, I believe they said that they were planning on setting the movie after X3, but telling a story of the past through flashbacks.

But yeah, expect reviews to be all over the board on this one. People hoping for a great story given Wolverine's complex characterization and Hugh Jackman's great acting will be disappointed I expect, but folks just looking for eye candy likely won't be disappointed. It all depends on what you're looking for here.

ps Watchmen isn't a "super hero movie". If you walked out of the theatre thinking it was, then you really missed the point.
