It's not my franchise precisely because 2 and (especially) 3 are no good. Love the original and really like World, though.

tough time trying to convince myself that the Best Buy Steelbook is worth 30 more than what the standard will cost from Amazon. I suppose if they both have the same slip cover, then really what's the difference when they're on the shelf

God that sounds awful lol, i'm sorry it's probably due to language barriers, or maybe because i'm usually high when i post here, or more plausible a combination of the two.

Seriously, just wanted the confirmation that we are getting fresh new scans for every movie, and no upscaled/messed with/bullshit.

We kept laughing all the way through, including when

This is literally me in the theatre. Except that i was younger and cried inside instead of laughing.

How can people who hate JP/// like JW will forever remain a mystery for me.

I don’t see the steelbook edition sitting at $89.99 on release date, I see it being cheaper. There’s also 2 steelbooks, 1 4K and 1 Blu. Sell the blu back to recoup some money.

I don't think Jurassic Park 3 being labeled a terrible movie by some should be all that controversial. It IS a terrible movie. Personally, I do appreciate it because I love having Alan Grant back in the saddle again, and I think it's fun. However, there's a lot of eye-rollingly awful things about this flick. Some people can overlook that stuff due to the fun factor, some can't, and I can't blame the people who can't.

The fact that there are films worse than JP3 doesn't mean that JP3 suddenly stops sucking. Just like how the fact that there are films better than JP1 doesn't mean that JP1 ceases to be awesome.

Some could argue that there is more eye-rolling stuff in JW than the previous two. Training Raptors is right at the top of the list of absurdities and trumps anything else in the previous movies that one could mention...and that's just one thing about that awful movie. I could name at least 8 or 10 ultra eye-rolling moments in that movie.

Personally, I see a big difference between the absurdity of JP3 and JW. The eye-rolling scenes in JP3 were more of the "JP was the last great movie of my childhood and I loved the Crichton books and I can't believe what's become of this series with this hideous finale to the cinematic trilogy" variety. Whereas my eye-rolls in JW were more of the "This is pretty much exactly what I'd expect from a modern reboot of the series and I'm still having fun watching this" variety.

Anyway, a $60 price-point solves my problem of figuring out how to get the two movies I want. I'm all-in for the set.

Yes because disliking JP3 must mean I don't know anything about movies.. sure thing.

^ And that right there is the problem with JP III. No matter how eloquent, how incisive, how passionate someone's defense of the movie may be, it can always be countered pretty effectively by posting a gif of the velociraptor saying "Alan"

Maybe I missed someone else mentioning it, but I wanted to jump on the hate-train, too - The Lost World was my very least favorite of the 4 films so far. The level of franchise absurdity can be summed up into this sequence... "Dr. Malcom's black daughter saves the day against a mighty velociraptor by doing a gymnastics routine"

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for interracial families, me and my wife and kids are a multiracial family, but she's like black as can be and without much explanation. Just a very "Huh?! Wtf?!" moment when she is introduced. Then there's the kicking (and killing) a raptor to save the day bit. Yeesh.

I also didn't like the whole, Dinosaurs coming to San Diego, CA aspect.

Oh well, JP3 wasn't that much better, but it was still better, in my opinion.

The level of absurdity reached it's peak with hearing a cell phone inside of a dinosaur's gut.

The gymnastic's bit is crazy, but it's no where near as ridiculous as the cell phone.

Also, why do you need an explanation for the skin tone of Malcolm's daughter??

Thank you!!!! Also don't forget the ludicrous plan the villain in JW had planning, top of the eye-rolling stuff

For one, it's possible Malcolm's daughter was adopted from another marriage to or partnership with a black woman. Or maybe he adopted her from an agency as a single parent at one point in his life. There is such a thing as adoption. It just wasn't explained because they thought people could fill in the blanks.

Two, the killing of the raptor with new-found acrobatic super powers was a bit much IMHO. If that had happened with any one of the characters I would have rolled my eyes.

Three, the last third is from a completely different movie and comes out of left-field.

However, with that said I hated Jurassic World that much more. What a complete waste of two hours. I wanted all the characters to die. They were almost universally unlikable.
