I want to thank you all for your responses in the vinyl discussion. I do appreciate you all taking the time to give your experience with the Vinyl vs CD vs Streaming music debate. Everyone comes to their preferences for different reasons. However, I don't want to derail the thread anymore than necessary. Even though we don't agree, I have enjoyed the discussion. While I do feel the discussion is somewhat relevant, I don't want the members who come here to see "Target Deals" wondering WTF they walked into. Again, Thank You All!

I got an odd Target related question. My last 5 or so shipments that were shipped via UPS have included a USPS tracking number. Nothing odd there. Sometimes UPS hands it off to USPS.
However, the odd part is that these USPS tracking numbers are for packages delivered in November/December 2024 for addresses that are clearly not mine. Anyone else getting this?

Did you receive the orders yet? It may displaying the address where UPS offloads to to the USPS.

I hate how Target does their shipping though. Just do straight up UPS or USPS. The mail innovations crap causes mail to get lost.

Three were delivered directly by UPS. The USPS tracking that was included still showed the incorrect information post delivery.

I have three more that were shipped. The USPS tracking included shows delivered Nov 26 in Nashville TN.

I'm not overly concerned about being delivered after the other set was delivered without issue by UPS. It's just very odd thing that just started happening with Target/UPS and curious if others have had a similar thing.

This has been a big problem for Target over the past few months. They have been having issues with linking tracking numbers for completely different orders that do not belong to the customer who ordered, but rather to others customers. I had this very same problem around the 22nd of November last year involving several orders I had placed for non-movie items. There were about 8 different orders that showed delivered all over the country, just not delivered to me.

Eventually it all worked itself out, all the packages showed up the first week of December and the tracking all corrected itself. However, in the meantime, it was very confusing and frustrating checking tracking numbers and it showing all the packages showing delivered in several different states. I did some research and found a large number of people who all ordered the same items having the very same issue. It took about a week or so but eventually everything I had ordered arrived safely. I would have thought Target would have corrected the issue but apparently not. For the record all of the orders I had placed shipped from the same distribution center, I think it was in Kentucky, so perhaps the problem is only for orders shipping from there.

Contact customer service and alert them, perhaps they already know of this issue, but it has been going on since late last year.

Supposedly I have a package from Target coming today via UPS -- from them directly, not a USPS handoff -- but when I look at the tracking number's shipment details it gives me a USPS tracking number that is still awaiting the handoff. So it is a handoff. But I'm definitely not getting it by 7 p.m. tonight if the post office still doesn't have it.

They delivered it, and by they I mean UPS and not USPS. However, the package has the post office's address on it under "ship to." So it was supposed to be a hand off and UPS just bypassed it all together?

They do that here too, when they've got more than one package for us that day or it works with a nearby delivery.

Saw some in store at Walmart like that. Kinda makes me wonder if there was some kind of last minute manufacturing issue that was caught and corrected prior to going out to retailers.
