I think they are 160 something. I'd imagine an "original" would be the original few from thousands of years ago, otherwise that would just be stupid to be considered one cause you're a generation older than my grandma.

I thought the episode was excellent and hope that little snippet with Tyler and Stefan in the promo for next week is the closing shot of the episode so we have a mid-season cliffhanger.

Was Jeremy gone for a long time? I don't remember seeing him at all for the past few episodes. When he showed up I remember thinking to myself I'd completely forgotten he was even on the show lol.

Jeremy is kind of a throw-away character right now and honestly with all the bad vampires and werewolves running around, I'm surprised he hasn't been turned yet. The ring is a shield but it's not perfect, would be easy to rip it off and then end him.

This show has a cheat for EVERYTHING with mythology lol. There isn't a single affliction or legend they don't have a way out of so far, very annoying.

[Show spoiler]They sure didn't cheat when the Salvatore brothers took out some of those werewolves who couldn't turn because there was no moon. They were winning, which is why I'm not sure why they fled when help arrived.

Another great episode! It was really sad seeing Caroline getting tortured. I wanted to shove Wolfsbayne down that guys throat lol. Tyler was useless pretty much the whole episode and what was he thinking telling Jules about the Moonstone.....here we again.

At least John is up to something while everyone else is fooling around doing nothing. I would like to see Katherine released from the Tomb and unleash come chaos in Mystic Falls. And at this point she might be the only one able to help Damon with his problem, I think they might be together.

Another werewolf bites the dust last night. These vampires are invincible! It's their show after all. I wish CW would make a spinoff and make a show featuring werewolves so we can have their backstory. I actually found those werewolves characters interesting. They just killed them off right away-- Mason and Brady-- and without a fight.

I think you mean another five "werewolves" bite the dust. I too felt like what a waste of character time to have them killed so easily without much effort. Pretty lame if you ask me. They should have waited until the moon was full to battle.

Jules might bring some more new werewolves without telling Tyler about it just in time before the curse is broken. Or Tyler might flip side after Jules tells him more lies about the werewolves history....who knows.

Good episode though, the Original's strength is becoming too much though. Assuming what John told Damon is true they have no weakness at all. I don't even think Vervain works against them, and Stefan and Damon drinking that stuff didn't help at all seeing how Damon got a full dose from it.

I was thinking about that, too. They should have waited until the full moon before they attacked. Maybe they'll do that against the original vampires in the future (the werewolves will team up with Damon and Stefan ala Twilight).

What I liked most about last night is the discovery of more journals. We'll probably learn what's in those soon.

Forgot about that, John better not find out about those journals otherwise he'll use it to his own advantage. The journals are probably the reason why Isobel knows hot to kill an Original.

I think Jeremy should get the journals first and keep them hidden from John....or from everybody else for that matter so the curse isn't broken.

Because he has to get to Claus first, I would assume he must be killed within a certain amount of time from the sacrifice, but who knows this show just makes up shit as it goes along, haha.

Okay I've been trying to find a show to start watching, and have Supernatural and Vampire Diaries that I'm starting.

I decided to put off Supernatural for now, and run through Vampire Diaries. Just started the 1st episode.

Nice cast list so far. Boone from Lost, Aaron from Fallen and Steve Mothatruckin McQUEEN?????

These two dumbass girls are driving, something slams into their windshield, they damn near spin out, sit there and have some little heart to heart???? WHAT THE **** IS THAT?

Get out the damn car and see what the hell that was! On the other hand, if the couple from the opening had that sense, maybe they would have driven off and just said screw that dude we just hit.

EDIT 2: Show's interesting so far, but dammit there's been like a hipster emo's backpack full of albums played so far. At this rate there'll have to be a box set of music for each season's soundtrack.

EDIT 3: Just finished the 1st episode. Going to bed, but have to say the only REAL negative for me right now is the sheer mindnumbing amount of music. It's fairly distracting. Cool show otherwise though.
