Actual and upcoming BD releases should be added to the Blu-ray db.
Other movies/titles should be added to the Theatrical db from which a BD entry can be made when it materializes.

So that means someone got word that things like Miracle Beach, Necessary Roughness and Surf Ninjas might be forthcoming?

That would be promising for catalog titles.

No that doesn't mean that.

That's the criteria of how they should be submitted.

Same as people shouldn't submit disc aspect ratios unless they have measured the disc. Yet people constantly submit for example "2.35" or "2.40" to delete the actual measured ratio on discs that has been measured by our reviewers already.

Acknowledged.

I guess I was thinking that, oversights and mistakes aside, things weren't allowed in that weren't double checked.

I started to notice titles being added that I hadn't heard about so wasn't sure if that meant you wanted placeholders added or not.

As always Deciazulado, thanks.

What about adding something like the ability to lock a field after the info has been verified to be accurate? It would prevent cases like that from happening in the future.

Is there a different link for adding DVD movies?

Hi
I Got a problem with "Edit Movie"
Children of the corn (2009 Version)
when i type in the audio (English: Dolby TrueHD 5.1 (48kHz, 16-Bit)
and/or the Video Codec (MPEG-4 AVC)
I get the following error:

A movie with that title, studio and country already exists in the database

i have edited a movie before with no problems

what to do?

(source of the info is found with MediaInfo 0.7.49)

You can search DVDs here:
https://www.blu-ray.com/dvd/search.php

To add new DVDs, you can either go to the theatrical entry and click on "Create DVD" (after "Create Blu-ray"), example:
https://www.blu-ray.com/Super-8/32333/

If there is no existing theatrical/master entry, you can go to any DVD entry and click on "Add new movie" (located below the tabs "Overview", "Blu-ray review", "Screenshots" etc)

I have a question regarding the PS3 database. If I were to upload PS1 and PS2 game info to the database would you display the info. Upon reviewing the upload page the only thing I wouldn't be able to upload would be the release date of the games since the PS3 defaults to 2006, but I could always add the release date to the notes section

I would be really great to have all BD, DVD and Playstation collections in one place...

Hey iceman, I've added six new BDs to the database though I'm unable to add photos. My images are 500x500 minimum yet the site is error'ing out, stating the requirement of 499x299 isn't being met.

Example:

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Spook...Blu-ray/30430/
Attached Images

Aahh... now I see what the problem is
The white space is counted as noise/unnecessary and cropped and thus the real image becomes too small

Thank you sir.

The other photos I have will be under that requirement. Photos on walmart.com aren't savable, unless a do a screenshot and crop it with Photoshop. That may be too small as well, do you have any suggestions?

If you are using Firefox right click somewhere on the page where the picture is and select "View Page Info" there click on the "Media" tab and browse for the picture you want and then just click the "Save As..." button.

I have a question about this top contributor thing. My profile says I have 54 successful submissions. I don't know what they were for. I've added various equipment and speakers here and there, but I wouldn't have thought they totaled up to 54. Today to test it out I submitted a speaker that wasn't previously in the database. It's been approved and included, but my number stayed at 54. This isn't a numbers thing, but it prompts me to ask that if adding equipment to the database doesn't generate the number, then what does?

When editing a movie, there's an option for "Retailer Exclusive" and then a drop-down menu. Can Play.com be added to the drop-down please?
Thanks

Since Optimum has changed its name, it would make sense to add the new company to the database, StudioCanal UK, otherwise IMO it wouldn't make sense to keep using the old name for new titles.

Those two are record companies. Are you sure there is no studio listed on the release? If there isn't then you should use Cooking Vinyl since it's a parent company to Take Me to the Hospital.
Music video releases like this are usually released by the record company - there are several record companies already listed as studios for other similar releases (including the USA version of this very title for instance).

Cooking Vinyl isn't the parent company to Take Me To The Hospital, but they are the licencee for this product so for those purposes Cooking Vinyl would be the most suitable for the "studio". I see someone's added it to the database under Take Me To The Hospital for now though.
