No thread... I just noticed in Bruisermoore's sig that he was looking for Hot Toys and I had some of mine listed locally (on kijiji) for sale so I asked him if he was interested in any of them. He has good taste so naturally he was interested in the 'best' one

We've done enough deals together where I felt very comfortable sending him such an expensive (in my world anyway) piece through the post, shipping these things make me really really nervous.

I still have a DX06 (Boxed, never displayed), HT Tonto (Boxed, never displayed) and a Mediacom Mad Hatter (Re-Boxed, displayed) listed locally.

Sorry, I knew it was Jack. I should have put an exclamation mark too. I was questioning you selling it and me considering it, LOL. He's one of my favorite characters and we're all about Pirates here. My 2 year old's bedroom is a Pirate room. His name is Jack and we call him Jackie Boy.

That is really cool! I figured you knew what the DX06 was, I was thrown by the question mark The DX11 and DX06 are/were certainly the gems in my collection. I'm a big big Johnny Depp fan, hence the 3 figures mentioned, but the darn things have been stuck in a box since I moved (With the Tonto and Jack never even getting a chance to be displayed) and the basement/theatre renovation got trumped with other work on the new house. I honestly don't see me getting a chance to display these figures for a couple of more years at the earliest and the latest plans I've dreamt up for the theatre doesn't include a nice place to display them.

I'm not in any sort of rush to sell them, but if the right price and more importantly the right buyer comes along I will move them along.

I'm very jealous of Bruisermoore right now. I've been scouring eBay for a good price on that one. lol

It was still quite expensive, put a pretty good sized dent in the ol' PayPal account. He had an idea of what he wanted and I had a number I was looking to pay, and we came to a very fair, middle of the road price where we both were happy.

I blame my newest addiction entirely on Jordan and Jude btw.

In just a couple of months, I've accumulated 14 Hot Toys with two more on order (but I'll probably be selling them when I get them).

We were lucky that our basement was finished when we bought this house. We just got rid of our 7' Air Hockey table and that's really opened it up more. Of course, I could do with more wall space. Might have to overflow in to the spare bedroom downstairs. It's only used occasionally and so we might as well geek it out.

Not a bad effort from Stern, wasn't terribly popular so it can be found for not too horrible of a price. Pinball machines keep going up and up in prices and make 1/6 figure collecting look like Pop! collecting.

Got my email yesterday that my first two figures final flex pay payments will come out in four days. I am excited to get them, even though I will not be able to display them for a while.

Plus once I get the points from them I will put them toward Ultron Thor and possibly Vision preorders.

Just be careful. Once this ball starts rolling, it's tough to stop it! I've had the impse to order every other figure that gets announced! I've had to learn to really evaluate and determine what is actually only the "most important must haves" for my collection. Otherwise, I'd have a bunch of great looking pieces that aren't that important to me in the long run.

But as long as I have Cap, Iron Man and Thor ill be good for now.

Yeah, and to add to this, can't stress it enough to pace yourself. It's way too easy to get carried away. I find myself selling stuff off pretty regularly due to impulse buying. It's cool to see many of them in the flesh, so that's fun about it at least. But it's definitely better to avoid all that.

I just picked up DoFP Wolverine and already thinking of selling him because he doesn't exactly fit with what I'm trying to do in my collection. Same with Civilian Steve Rogers. Just doesn't fit in well. Considering offing Marty McFly too, otherwise he's a one-off on the shelf.

I have a bad feeling about this new Harry Potter line from Star Ace. I got their Voldemort, and will be ordering Hermione. But I'm such a big fan of the series that I'm scared I'll get super deep into it and not even have the space to display it all.
