F.Y.E. Deals Thread (YMMV) - Page 41 - Blu-ray Forum

If your nearest store is still open by now, consider yourself lucky. All of our F.Y.E. put out the going out of business signs during the month of January last year and now the nearest store is about a two hour drive. I seem to recall the Coconuts and Suncoast also closing up at the beginning of the year as well.

Yeah, there is one near me yet. But in the same mall. The Suncoast closed a good while ago. I think it was end of 2009 if 'm not mistaken.

I think I saw it on the shelf next to the bargains. Not the bargains shelf, but whatever section is after that. Not sure if that's where Drama begins at my store though.

You got lucky on The Joneses. My store got one copy in and guy said they sold it release week. Meaning some one paid $25 or so for it.

I got my Diamond Luxe Gump in the Drama section but a week later saw one in the storefront bin.

I need to hit up FYE tomorrow for some of these sales. I was going to go to Target and Best Buy but backstage pass will trump the competition if these deals are truly in-store. Maybe I can find a Lights Out with slip also.

It sucks to hear about all the closures also. I effin' dare my FYEs to close! Without Hastings, they are my last bastion for hard to find titles and deals. My nearest Suncoast closed shop over a decade ago.

Lights Out didn't come with a slip ever.

I stopped by today and got iron man 3d used $13.45, nightcrawler used $8.95, minions 3d used $0.90, next i got x-men wolverine used $7.15, smurfs 2 3d used 5.35 , and T2 skynet used $0.89 , transporter 1 new $4.02 and part 2 new $4.02, and lastly forrest diamond new for $5.66,

I picked up Keeping Up With The Joneses today. Person said they got one copy in on Thursday and I got it today. So that's lucky.

From the reviews, some people may say that's unlucky

but I've watched dozens of movies that people said sucked that I enjoyed.

Yeah, maybe. But $10 for a basic new release isn't bad. But yeah, like you said in the last post.

Picked up ...

$9.99, $9.99 & $6.99 respectively before Backstage Pass. Like JLF, I got the only copy of Keeping Up with the Joneses. I was surprised to read Villain714 paid so much for used Nightcrawler cause the location I visited still had a few brand new for $5.

They also had a deal for BOG2 free used titles below $3. I really didn't investigate much as most were DVD at that price point.

Trust me i looked for it at that price but no luck.. i figered i might end up getting it fot a dollar with the bogo deal. Either way im happy cuz it came with a digital code that was still valid lol
And the keeping up with the joneses in my store 9.99 but for the DVD version.

Not sure if this is an old or new deal, but today FYE had new copies of Oz: The Great and Powerful (Blu Ray/Digital HD) with slipcover for $5. I picked it up because its rare to see a Disney title in the bargain bin, plus I actually enjoyed the movie when I first saw it.

Wow. That's even cheaper than before. I think it was $7-8 before.
