I think Fury Road is definitely demo worthy but I just think it's a notch or two below the Revenant. It's definitely a better movie IMO.
It's funny, but I have my go to discs as well when showing people 4K for the first time, and it's usually The Martian or Pacific Rim.

Plus Kingsman had my favourite action sequence of the year (The Church) just squeezing out the dust storm in Mad Max.

They're both good, but you have to prepare yourself for watching the Revenant, while Mad Max isn't even in the same league of disturbing. It is the better disc in almost every way, but "Leo Torture Simulator 2015" is hardly a conversation starter. Mad Max can at least double as a fun popcorn action movie as well as a surprisingly thought provoking movie if you read between the lines about trauma and the humanity within the inhumane.

Men, not a fan of the stereotypical "Racist Christian Republican Southern Hate Group" as a southern Republican Catholic myself, though I do admit that was badass from an action sequence. Turning the subject back towards action, the beginning of Kingsman still gets my vote as the delicious violence pleasantly took me by surprise as I forgot that this was R rated. I haven't any regrets. Can I also note how my three demo discs were surprisingly good movies. Some people may want more movies before they switch, but I already have some of my favorite movies from the past decade in HDR 4K, I'd call that incentive enough.

I just watched this again. The story is mediocre and the acting is just plain horrendous.

I like the 60FPS but cannot see myself ever watching this again. At most I'd rewatch the halftime scene. Some scenes the acting is fine, but other times it is just dreadful.

Yeah it's bad. I like showing it off but the acting is horrendous enough that I usually just watch it in 10 minute spurts at the most.

I just got it for such a good price I know I won't be able to get again. Arg.

Ah, chopping block is probably best.

Not sure I'll ever watch this again but I'm gonna keep it just for demo purposes. I didn't hate it enough to immediately get rid of it but didn't like it enough to keep it without reservations. Just a big bowl of "meh."

We'll just have to agree to disagree on this one. I felt like the actors were reading off of cue cards in some instances.I know that's not what was going on but the dialogue felt stiff, for lack of a better word. When Vin Diesel gives you the best performance of the entire cast you know you're in trouble.

The young black kid sounded very believable. I felt like I was watching real youngsters talking about their experuence

Wow, people weren't lying when they said the 60 fps brings attention to the acting. And not for the better lol

It's like watching some hilariously big budget student film.

Loved it! Hope more UHDs will be released in 60fps. Enough of fake-looking 24 frames...

Finally watched this. God awful mess. Bad acting, bad camera work, bad script, bad editing, just bad.

It's like a computer program made the film, nothing is human. Even the god awful IMAX documentary style soundtrack makes me feel like it was an automated choice. Everything was horrendous. Considering the quipment used, it just looked cheap, felt like everyone was a cardboard cut out. To be honest felt like behind the scenes footage, with zero polish.

And what the hell has happened to Steve Martin. It's like a 2050 CGI cut scene for GTA 10, it's Steve Martin, but not quite Steve Martin.

Probably wasn't good watching this after Hacksaw and Patriots Day admittedly, but wow, shows visuals aren't everything. No investment in the characters just makes you stare through them, and that cheerleader. Who wrote her lines, a committee of drama students.

The only benefit was knowing my picture settings are good, as it was like looking through a window, but a window into an amateur dramatic /ilm school project.

It's no different than Lucy. Both movies are incredibly bad/dumb, and their only purpose is to showcase our 4K HDR TVs.

Well, yeah, but that's because you keep pushing this movie because of the 60fps.

This movie is literal trash and only barely worth it as a technical showcase.

This is a really nice looking after school special.
