Yeah, that one's by far the best. I have the other two on the sides as kind of a framing device. I have some Star Trek faux propaganda posters I want to frame for the other wall.

I agree. I know many here seem to just gush over everything released on UHD, but the reviewer at HDD does make some good points. I've read three reviews of the film on UHD and I agree with parts of them all. Yes, the disc has good HDR and after watching it last night, I put the BD in and watched the first few minutes of it and certainly it looks more washed out. Detail often is much improved on the UHD but other shots look pretty soft, a little blurry even. As far as resolution goes, it's a bit inconsistent. It also seemed pretty dark in many areas.

No doubt it has some WOW! moments and I could list a bunch of them, but there's some other areas where there seems to be not much difference between the UHD and the BD.

If I had to rate it, I've give the PQ a 4 of 5.

If anyone wants to know, I have the Samsung UN55MU6500 and the Samsung M8500 UHD player.

I think people are more saying it's a great improvement over the BD, rather than it being one of the best UHD discs ever. Leon looks a good bit better, for example.

It's all relative I guess but I don't consider it a "great improvement". I mean it's better, no doubt, in some cases much better, but it's still kind of inconsistent. Now Prometheus, that is a great improvement example, but I'd rate TFE UHD a level below that.

the difference in colors makes me say it's a great improvement, you don't need to go back and forth between the uhd and blu ray to see it, it's very obvious

Hahaha!!!

A couple of years ago I was thinking of getting rid of all those "unnecessary extra paper covers which only make it more of a hassle to get a disc out of the case" but nowadays I've gotten used to them. Not a must for me though, won't lose any sleep if I don't get one or if it's torn.

I used to put them all in a drawer but now I keep some on, depends on if they add something like different backside art or whatever. I keep all the UHD ones on so far since they're kind of a premium product, sorta.

You got that right, as far as I am concerned Leon is a reference quality 4K UHD releases as far as ~1990's movies go. And the Fifth Element is nice enough, however I was able to sell my 4K disc on eBay for enough to make the 1080p disc all 'The Fifth Element' that I need.

Though since both of the films we are talking about were directed by Luc Besson and the fact that they were made within about ~3 years of each other, I am curious how different the original films were/are from each other, anyone know these details? I almost wish I had the DVD copies of these films to throw in, just to check em out right quick.

$13.47 at amazon. Is this being price-matched from somewhere? Doesn't look like it.

Bought as well. I was going to hold off until I got to Best Buy tomorrow to price-match, but too worried the price would jump back up!

Was close to buying then backed out. I'm not a huge sci fi fan. I remember I saw it when it came out I was in high school. That was a long time ago. Wonder what I would think about it now. Heck of a deal, but only if you enjoy the movie. I'll think about it. May not last long.

The price will be back up by the time you decide. You can't hesitate if you want to get in on good deals. I know, I've missed out on my fair share of them.
