The IMDB Parents Guide has always been a bit of joke (it's quite useful in some cases), but we're starting to see little opinions sprinkled into to the guides instead of just facts. Although I relish the day when we get:

Rated PG-13 for Seven Fu*ks and One Hairy Arse.

Nice to see the MPAA and the BBFC are still slugging it out to which one has the worst website.

& same with female nudity as you see more of Sue Jones-Davies' bush than you do of Chapman's member. Also Chapman was wearing a rubber band down below as he didn't look Jewish enough.

Sorry I know I shouldn't but that made me chuckle.

Yeah we went over this in the official Excellent Adventure release thread. It sparked an interesting discussion on content and language of older movies.

I would have thought it would be worse for Chapman as he's showing genitals.

Maybe I'm researching wrong but whenever I try to see a detailed report of cuts or info about a movie on the BBFC website I can never find anything.

A new theatrical classification for the original "The Fast & The Furious" film has lowered it from 15 to 12A:

Despite being a really tame 15, I can sort of understand why it got that cert back in 2001, it's still quite an upper end 12 like other films released around that time notably The Bourne Identity and Spider-Man. The first film is dare I say realistic compared to the sequels which are so far removed from reality, they're borderline sci-fi.

Today whether you like them or loathe them the 'Fast' films are such a well established franchise that it's unlikely to phase a 12-year-old fan (cue joke about adult 12-year-olds...). The film is basically a 100 minute music video, very early 00's.

Yeah, although how things move on - I watched the 12-rated Hobbs and Shaw the other night and although it's relatively bloodless, there are elbows, headbutts, kicks and other blows in there that Ferman would have removed from an 18 in his day....

Ferman, now there's a name I haven't heard in a long time. People forget we were never even allowed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in the UK. We had 'Mutant Hero Turtles'. Even the word ninja was deemed unsuitable.

And people think we have it tough now.

But our version of the cartoon theme tune with the word changed was remixed and sounded better.

Getting nostalgia from pumping money into the coin-op machine of Ninja Turtles now, just to get to the end

Ferman was hung-up on fighting techniques and weapons which he believed could be imitated. Strange fella...

Because the show was a cartoon aimed at young children and he had a downer on martial arts and in particular ninjas

Wouldn’t allow many fight scenes in live action uncut even as an 18.
