I love when business owners cry freedom of speech and then blame their customer base when the words they put out there jeopardize their bottom line.

Agreed. It’s called freedom of speech, not freedom of consequences of speech. Everyone has the equal right to express backlash to idiotic statements, and to continue to do so when those statements are doubled-down upon.

We at DF are going to say and do really stupid shit. You the customer are supposed to think that stupid shit is really cool, and buy into the nonsense. If you don't think it's cool or buy into the nonsense, then you will be put on the troll list. If you are put on the troll list then you won't be able to purchase our amazing product. What that means for you is when you are sitting in the dark looking for a movie to watch, one of our cutting edge slipcover won't be calling out to you in the darkness. Exactly. A sincere apology taking full ownership and not blaming anyone or anything. It was a bad mistake but people would be far more forgiving if dealt with in a professional manner.

i never understood this concept of people on this forum being “trolls.” i get that dave is going to lean on that term because he doesn’t want to take a hard look at his business practices with a critical eye and determine that the people complaining about his tactics actually have a point. to me, a troll is someone who has no purpose except to harass someone for absolutely no reason other than to cause upset. if i were a bonafide troll, i’d be exhibiting the same outspoken behavior for all the “other labels” – arrow, VS scream, etc. but i don’t. even though there are labels out there who are flawed (i have many misgivings about shout/scream), i don’t “troll” them. i’m personally vocal against dave because he’s a bully, and a bully, to me, is the worst kind of person. if he'd struck a normal business from day one, even keeping all his wwf nonsense about “the best XYZ ever,” i would have found it irritating but kept my mouth shut. but this whole bundling/overpriced/artificial scarcity nonsense, the closing/opening of the store at random times, and yes, the latest thing i won’t mention, is a perfect summation on why i’m such a pain in the balls. that he’s trying to turn himself into a martyr because of his very poor judgment perfectly sums up his business and himself as a person: he’s a prideful, counterfeit loser trying to skip years and years of building a customer base with all these cheap manipulative tricks. if he actually follows through with closing down his social media pages, it would make the internet a better place, and i salute him for it, regardless of his motive.

Dark Force doesn’t owe anyone sincerity for anything. What they said wasn’t even a bad thing, it was taken completely out of context and blown way out of proportion by people who live to bully this company. My copy of GoH/Psycho From Texas arrived last night, four days after it was supposed to. So I threw it on to spot check the PQ. Are those green lines present during the opening credits of GoH authentic or were they added digitally? They look kinda fake. The rest of the film doesn't have quite the same amount of heavy "damage" but it's a good-looking print with moderate scratches and "lighter" (but not fake-looing) green lines. I owned a VHS copy of GoH during the early 90's that had the worst PQ I've ever seen for any film but I kind of liked it. Scratches and damage up the wazoo so this "grindhouse"-y edition here brings back some happy memories. I'm not sorry I bought this.

Was Psycho From Texas a TV movie? The opening credits made it look like one. Had the same type of intro as a TV show lol

I didn't say DF owed anyone anything. That is simply when people will let it go. As for your reasons why people are doing it, well that's just a sweeping generalization, and they are always bullshit. 100% of the blame for Mirror Mirror not being released lays with Dave, and Dave alone.

I however don't believe for a second he'll delay it or not release it. It's simply a new release and a new game to hype it.

It absolutely has, but using a tragedy to hype your bluray release is disgusting. If you don't agree with that fine, but acting like people are being ridiculous who do agree is silly. What's even sillier is saying the guy who's post started it all is only 10% to blame.

I have to disagree with those saying the response was pseudo outrage or exaggerated.. The outrage was not fake or overblown. It was justified.

I understand we all have different levels of what we will tolerate, but for me, this was it. I don't want to give my money to a person like that.
