Maybe if some of you took the time to even look up Eckhart Tolle you'd realize they are spiritual based books, blending Buddism and Christian principals, about living in the now and not recoiling the past. It's not a manifestation of a mental health crisis when you are simply wanting to let go of the past and live fully in the present for the purposes of putting more into your life and work.

And yeah, I'm wrong that I haven't had any issues in three years. No where did I say I was the golden rule nor did I sprout off advice to others about it to follow a similar path.

Nobody celebrated anything happening to your mother. There were, however, quite a few who expressed relief by briefly celebrating when you left simply because all of a sudden threads like the UMO thread snapped right back to on-topic discussions. Imagine that - people want to talk about movies in a movie thread.

People in that thread want to talk about (and read about) unpopular movie opinions, not pages and pages of your personal chit chat with your "friends." There are many, many appropriate places for you to have those sorts of conversations - the movie section of the site is not one of them. That's all this has ever been about, but you've repeatedly tried to make this personal. No one's out to get you...

Every single pot shot you take is making it personal. From my rude, disrespectful behaviour now to being self-centered. If I never got personal details or learned something about someones views on a film subject back during any of the conversations that seem to be such an issue I'd agree, but that isn't the case. You particularly made it about me when you targeted only me given that thread has been off topic on and off since it's been on this website. Back when I was Captain Kirk it was cleaned out all the time as several posters went off topic. When I returned, same thing was still going on. In recent months it appears to be more lenient but in the last few weeks the off topic nights are usually when I am not around but yet you didn't feel the burning desire to post 14 paragraphs about why they were ruining your enjoyment of the thread.

I really wish those you imply that felt it to be such a confetti throwing occasion in October would slither out of their holes and state their opinion publicly.

You took an unnecessary post by Darth and turned it into something it wasn't. That's on you. I wanted to reiterate that few knew why you were leaving, as the posts you made on your unnecessary "farewell tour" were cryptic and vague. I seem to recall something along the lines of "the people close to me know why I'm leaving" or something to that effect. All most of us were aware of was that the major source of disruption was leaving the thread and that meant movies would be discussed again. Nobody wished ill on your mother, despite your sad attempts to paint us as monsters.

And let's not pretend that you have no control over what your little buddies do. Finally you admit the truth, your issue is in fact you expect me to control grown men. I'm glad you assume they are all like the kids from South Park when Bebe grows boobs. I've knew it had to deal with the fact I'm a woman and you take great issue with that.

I just suggest, since that's what we like to do here, is that you search for introspection on why a thread is such a big deal for you and the "others" you repeatedly refer to.

AT&T tried to pull a fast one and make my wireless bill $300. I added a second phone to it (one work, one personal) and both have the AT&T Next Plan, but should have had shared data instead of separate plans. I got it corrected, but my gosh my bill is still $215 a month. But hey, I do need my phone for work. I'm just amazed at how much higher phone bills have got over the years. I don't know how the average high-data user affords it.

Never ever get a Kidney Stone if you can. I have had once since October 23rd and its been a nightmare. The pain is unbearable and yesterday i finally had a Lithotripsy which brought about a ton of pain. I barely got any sleep last night. Pretty much curled in a ball in shower until hot water is gone...lay down till hot water is ready again and repeat. I hate this stone.

Man, I feel for you, been there done that. To say the pain is excruciating might be an understatement. Hope you get all the rest of the pieces/particles passed soon !

Yeah, phone and cable companies are notorious for pulling shit like this. Are you on a contract? If not, I'd recommend doing what I had set up for my brother. When it came time for him to upgrade his phone (around the time of the iPhone 6/6 Plus), we looked at things and it turned out better for him to just buy the 6 Plus outright (he got a 1 year no interest deal from his credit card). Then, we bought a Straight Talk AT&T compatible SIM kit and just ported his number to Straight Talk. Unlimited talk, text, and data (5GB at high speed before it slows) for $45 (a shade under $50 after tax and 911 fee).

Don't notice any difference in service at all, since it uses the exact same AT&T network. Plus, should anyone else come up with a better AT&T network deal, he's free to move because there's no contract.

There are also other similarly priced plans from other places than Straight Talk, using the AT&T network. If you're not on a contract, there's rarely any reason to go with AT&T (or any other major carrier) directly.

Glad you got that sorted, though. It can be a pain to get a company to correct mistakes like that.

Ouch! I'm so sorry to hear that! How are things looking for your health after the procedure, in regards to the stone?

Hope you feel better soon. I know stones are one of the worst pains you can have.

Thanks. I sure hope i pass the pieces soon. The Lithotripsy seems to have aggravated the stones more than they were, but hopefully it means I'll pass them soon. I was scared when i peed right after the procedure because it was almost all blood. They didn't tell me that going in. Luckily there has been less and less blood each time i go.

Things are looking better....at least i hope so. The Lithotripsy is pretty much giving the stone concentrated sonic blasts to break the stone into smaller pieces so they pass naturally. I've had the stone since late October which is pretty long for having one. I have been through so many appointments and such because of this that I'm ready for it to be over.

Early in the month i was suppose to have the lithotripsy, but the x ray didn't show the stone so they canceled the appointment. I already had a needle in my hand and talked to the anaesthesiologist and they canceled it. They tried telling me i must have passed the stone, but i demanded i didn't so they set up a CT scan. The CT scan showed i do still have it so they set the appointment back up again which was a relief. Finally getting the procedure done 3 months after diagnosed is a bit crazy, but the end is in nearing thankfully.

Honestly one of the worst things about this other than pain is that i can't have iced tea anymore. I love iced tea so much i used to drink a half gallon a day of different flavors. Unfortunately iced tea is a major contributing source for stones and my wife will no longer let me have any more until they test the stone(s) once they pass to let me know for sure what caused it.

I hate when that happens... when they decide at the last minute you don't need something but you actually do. I've been there before. It's a headache to get them to give you the treatment you need, isn't it?

That sucks about the tea! That's quite a bit of tea you consumed, though. Hopefully it didn't end up being a contributing factor to your stone, and you'll be able to at least have a little bit now and then. I really hope all this ends soon for you and you're feeling better soon.


As for me... I managed to get an hour or so of sleep and then woke up, as usual. I couldn't get back to sleep, so I decided to grab my Kindle and resume a book I had just checked out. It just hit me so hard emotionally that by the end, I was a wreck and couldn't shake the emotion. On the plus side, crying seems to exhaust one and help them get a little bit of rest, so... win?

It's amazing how people, books, and other works can bring out such emotion in us.
