Jean-Claude Van Damme on Blu-ray

Sorry to hear about Ringo. He definitely was at the helm for some of VD's best films and also knew how to push VD as an actor. Maximum Risk is easily top three for me. The intensity of the fights scenes in that film is fantastic.

It's also a shame he never got to complete (start?) what became of Wake of Death, originally titled After Death. That's a good film in itself, but I was always curious what Ringo would have done differently with it.

Don't know what's the difference, though. Maybe a different cut altogether?!

Compared the first 15 minutes. Almost every scene is extended in the German blu-ray. Guess that's how the versions differ mostly. I don't know why they did that. I guess the German version is some sort of extended cut whereas the French version is most likely the director's cut?!

So, I’ve actually never gotten a movie off iTunes. I usually use VUDU. Aren’t I supposed to be able to see the ITunes stuff in the Movies Anywhere App if I have them linked?

You should be able to:

Connect your Apple ID to your Movies Anywhere account
Open the Movies Anywhere app on your iOS device and sign in.
At the bottom of the screen, tap More, then tap Manage Retailers.
Tap iTunes. When iTunes or the iTunes Store app opens, complete the process.
You can connect only one account at a time, and you can switch accounts every 180 days.

You can also link your account at MoviesAnywhere.com. After you log in, click or tap your name in the upper-right corner and choose Manage Retailers.

I’m all connected but I notice that it says has to be an eligible title(Disney, Fox, Sony...etc.). I’m guessing a well known company like Blue Fox isn’t part of the deal. Haha Lame. Means that I have to watch it on my phone.

I wish I could watch the original version but the French blu-ray has no english subs during the french speaking scenes.

Van Damme is pretty solid up to like Maximum Risk or so? That's a good dozen or more films. Double Team is enjoyably bad too.

Just finished up The Bouncer. Loved it. Hands down the best thing he’s done since JCVD. Felt like the lovechild of The Wrestler and Drive. Good acting and really well made. I thought the music was great too. Really set the tone nicely. Again, I’m really pissed this isn’t getting a blu release here in the US. I would easily put this in his top 10 movies. 4.25/5
