The packaging is new, top to bottom, reflecting the new art. Even the disc art is new.

Anyone know whether the Silence of the Lamb Blu-ray from Comiccon is a new remaster with new extras or just same as the previous release with new slipcover??? The previous blu-ray didn't have the best PQ and was wondering if this would be worth the double-dip.

I believe it is the same transfer as the previous version. It does have a new cover art and disc artwork to match the the cover art and slip cover as well

I might have gotten a defective disc as well... It starts pixelating and freezing at about 01:09 (I tested it on 2 different players and a PC) and I see a tiny bump/dent on the disc.

I just ordered Boondock Saints, Child's Play, Fight Club and Planet Of The Apes. These are all great releases. The artwork was well done. I couldn't help double dipping on Boondock Saints. I have the original bluray release, but I can just sell it on eBay for cheap to cut my losses. I've finally upgraded my DVD version of Fight Club, so I'll be happy about that when it arrives. In regards to Child's Play and Planet Of The Apes, these are first time buys for me.

OK I contacted FOXconnect CS about The Fly issue and they issued an RMA. It will probably take a few weeks to get my copy replaced but at least they are offering a replacement.

Did they send you a label to print out for your return, or do you have to pay for the return shipping?
I'm curious, as my disc is due in today. I'll be scanning it, both the disc and the data, just to make sure!

They sent me an RMA (UPS) lable via email.

I guess Fox pressed a bad batch out. I hope mine it ok.

Let us know. I don't plan on opening mine anytime soon but this news of bad pressing changes everything...

Popped it in and it started fine. Watched it and so far nothing seems out of place. I think I dodged a bullet and got a clean pressing.
