Hmm, well as long as the movie is good although it might be a place holder.

Totally honest...I actually guessed the last movie would be called Jurassic World.

At the time there was a discussion on IMDb speculating on the title before much was known. Thinking it would be something like dinosaurs taking over civilization I picked Jurassic World.

I remember someone thought that was too SciFi channel-ish for a big franchise movie.

Yeah I remember further back in this thread I predicted the next one would be called Jurassic World: Epoch. I totally called it.

Ha, I know I can't prove it, especially since they closed the boards but it's actually a pretty basic title. I think anyone could have guessed it. Just tacking on a word to 'Jurassic'.

I just can't believe we have to wait another 15 months for this, it seems so long away.

That long? Usually they release a sequel two years after the smash hit first film.

Jurassic Park was my favorite film ever for well over a decade. Nowadays I can hardly muster up much excitement about these new movies. JW was okay - certainly more so than JPIII - but so impersonal, so sterile. Hopefully, Bayona will bring a modicum of actual artistic ingenuity to the proceedings.

Look. I don't care what other people think about Jurassic World. That is their own opinion to have whether I agree or disagree with them. However, I will say this. Jurassic World entertained the hell out of me for a solid two hours. Also, it was one of the best theater going experiences I have ever enjoyed. The crowd was cheering and clapping during the Rex/Blue Vs. The Indominus sequence.

Cheering and clapping? In my theatre the only clapping I heard was the sound produced of hands hitting foreheads. I'm kidding ofcours, although some actually had that reaction. No, it shows how different experiences can be. I enjoyed almost everything about "Jurassic World", and I had a good time, no doubt. But that finale was a bummer for me and most of my friends who joined. It was too much, it felt like they jumped the shark and it didn't look that great too. We all agreed on that. Most couldn't get over it and punnished the movie with a low score. I focussed on the good first three quarters and gave it a 7 out of 10, which could have been more if it wasn't for the finale.

That said, I have good hope for this sequel. When I think about 'The Impossible' and 'A Monster Calls' (everyone should check it out), I truely believe this guy can do great things with the material given.

Dude, really? The finale was the best part! Rex vs. Rex, with occasional raptors...

Something goes wrong with the park, the dinosaurs get out & kill a few extras, after a few near misses, the leads plus a couple of horrible kids get away. The End..oh, & 'raptors, always 'raptors. You could write the script in a weekend...or a computer could knock one out in an hour.
