Damn so seems like these aren't getting released in Canada for some reason. Guess I'll have to get them off WOWHD or something. They seem to have it for the cheapest.

EDIT: Of course, it's backordered. Ugh.

The German 4K Steelbook is one cheap ass steelbook. On each side, 3 discs are stacked. I repeat 3 discs are stacked. Never seen this been before. StudioCanal could have used at least a flipper in the middle.

True. I almost cancelled my order because of it, but the disc holders in the steelbook are at least made for the discs being stacked. Not like the US set of 2001: A Space Odyssey where they just crammed together.

The UHD of Blade Runner is the same way. 2 discs stacked on one side, 2 discs stacked on the other. Tbh it didn't totally bother me. I'd only watch the UHD anyway and I have the 30th anniversary set if I wanted to access the other discs instead of prying them out.

I know, but from what i'm seeing, it will be limited stock. Target only had 2 of each. WM only has 3 of each. So, I don't know how BB will be. I like a cheaper price, but i've got the extra dough right now to spend a little more.

Couldn't you just order them online? Or do the BB Black Friday prices only work in store?

Yeah, those are options I thought of too. But, i'm picky when it comes to getting a pristine slipcover, and I don't know if i'm working Thanksgiving and BF yet.

I might drive over to Target and see what's over there...

EDIT: Got all three at Target for $14.99. With Redcard discount, about $43 total.

Question for you guys - how do these discs stack up against the old Complete collection (The ancient one in the steel tin, where they forgot to subtitle the Russian dialogue from III)? The movies will look better, of course, but did all the extras make the jump too?

Looked to me like the included remastered BDs weren't anything to write home about, so that's what I'm thinking of getting as well. Just hope they have enough stock for all of us, lol.

It's a shame the subtitles (at least for First Blood) are so badly "cliff noted" and not direct translations of the lines. It's almost like subs for a dub of the film, which really dumbs it down if you have to read it. Not to mention completely wrong subs like “Igor him” instead of “I got him.” We are officially over the time where any studio actually cares about quality.

Instead of "They drew first blood," it's not "They shot first." What a mess. Super disrespectful to the hard of hearing.
