I just want it to be good and well written. I was pissed at the idea of killing Randy in 2, but honestly it's the most memorable kills in the series to me.

My biggest issue is that these killers are almost OP for everyone else. There's been what, 7 different serial killers hunting one person and her group of friends (I'll include Randy I guess, so a total of 4 people). And in those 4 movies, the seven killers were able to get...One of these main characters.

Like I said before, as long as it's well written and makes sense, I have no issue with a main character eating it. I can't see a situation where any of them is a killer though

Does anyone feel like this is the freshest and most exciting cast since Scream 2? I didn’t really feel like any of the cast members in 3 or 4 were all that new or fresh and some of the choices were just strange (Jenny McCarthy? Rory Culkin?) The first two had fresh and upcoming faces and this one feels the same. I’m very excited.

They desperately need new transfers, and I won’t go near Scream unless it’s the unrated version, but I suspect they’ll just repackage the same old stink-editions.

I was hoping 4 was going to be a whole new cast with these guys as support...which ended up not being the case.

Really excited about some of the casting. Seeing Marley return makes me really hopeful they'll bring back Kirby from Scream 4 too, but the cast is already looking pretty big. I'd say it's a fairly safe bet that one of the main 3 will actually die this time. They're getting up there, and I can't imagine they'll want to do too many more. I know it's a running gag of having either Gale or Dewey be mortally injured and then making a full recovery, but I agree- gotta up the stakes somehow. My money is on Sydney, in order to bring Gale and Dewey back into it, and end it by (somehow) giving them a happy ending. That way you close out their stories, but you can still continue the franchise somehow if need be.

Maybe the killer isn’t targeting her this time, did you think of that? Maybe Ghostface is going after the new kids and Sid gets involved because she’s connected to the kids somehow - maybe as a teacher or a counselor? Just because Sid is in it doesn’t mean she’s the killers target so don’t assume she “literally has to be the opening victim.” There are other scenarios as to how she could be involved.

Worst fan fiction idea ever and completely spits in the face of the legacy Wes built. Neve would never agree to this - the new filmmakers want to honor Wes and the previous movies - turning Sid into a killer for the sake of a “shocking” twist takes a big steamy dump on the other four movies. I really wish people would stop even suggesting this as an idea - it’s never going to happen.

So How 4 kinda went/started, until it became all about Sid again? I'm actually not sure what you're saying because you actually just repeated what I said. I was hoping they weren't going to be the focus.

This is probably just going to be a Paramount repressing of the exact same existing release. Just like all the other Miramax stuff coming back in print the last month or so.
