It appears to be from the plastic case inside. And upon further inspection, my Star Trek Beyond has the same thing except its on both the front and the back. Is that something that I can fix fairly easily? It doesn't have to be 100% perfect, just not obviously noticeable. All of the tutorials seem to show fixing dents made from the outside, but this is the opposite with the dent somehow being made from the inside. I'm afraid if I ask for replacements from Amazon they'll show up in even worse shape since it would just be those two in the box instead of being surrounded by a dozen regular bluray cases like these two were.
I find it extremely hard to fix dents and dings in the case. I would get replacements. If you are lucky and they come damaged, maybe you can piece a whole steelbook together using front of one and back of the other. I’ve done that before.

Default Still thing steelbooks are worth it after seeing BF prices?

I am one of those that rush to pre-order and go to the store for steelbooks, especially 4k steelbooks now.

After seeing some of these Black Fridays do you have any regrets? Wonder Woman, Transformers Last Knight, Spider Man, etc. are all around $9.99.

I know this is nothing new, but have any of you changed your thinking about steelbooks and said if it’s not a must have I will wait until BF?

No, I don't really see what one has to do with the other.

Rather than getting the Wonder Woman 4k steelbook, for example, on release date for $34.99, are any of you thinking “man I should have just waited for BF to get the standard 4k for $9.99.”

Steelbooks have always, for the most part, been about the packaging...

I usually get the steelbooks that I want when they are first released because there is no guarantee that they will be around later. I don't have the luxury of having a Best Buy store close to where I live either, so I can't take advantage of these cheaper priced deals that they have on most of their items in stores only.

Steelbooks are steelbooks. You buy them for the packaging.

You go wait for Black Friday. I will keep on buying them.

...and why does this deserve it's own thread. This needs to be moved, pronto!

I don't give a hoot about pricing. I'm in it for the packaging. If it's a steel with great art, different from that of the regular release, im on it. I would do the same for a digibook, digipak, etc. If a given film has the same art on all versions, I default to the steelbook.

Not really, I just bought about 20-22 4K titles for BF and I’m planning to upgrade about 15 steelbooks

This thread is ridiculous. Steelbooks are for collectors and are purchased for the packaging, thus why steelbooks actually hold value and standard releases don't.

There are movies inside the steelbook? I always thought those were free drink coasters

Bought Atomic Blonde’s Best Buy 4K Steelbook because it has a vastly better cover art then the standard cover art that they ruined by making the background blue (it seriously has way too much blue).

Steelbooks,Digibooks,Collectors Edition. It will allways make any movie look special up on the rack.Sometimes the artwork is good and then sometimes it looks like crap, that could have been better. But it allways makes it special.I buy the films I love on any of these formats and If I don't I'll buy it the week later on ebay after someone downloaded the code and sold it for over 50% of the cost. That's how I save money.I love the smell of a new steelbook on a Tuesday.ed
